RR 4.2 Rescue Boat
This rescue boat for sea-going vessels is made of robust
fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin (FRP), which means
it features an especially long service life and stiffness as
compared with inflatable craft. Chine-type framing with a
transom stern combines with foam sandwich construction
to permit planing with the standard 11 kW (15 h.p.) engine,
which is an advantage over round-frame craft. This compact
boat is powered by an outboard motor with a rating of up
to a maximum of 44 kW (60 h.p.). This boat is approved in
compliance with LSA Code 5.1.
