The Jastram azimuth grid thruster is capable of providing highly accurate dynamic positioning, responsive steering and emergency propulsion.
Mounted flush to the bottom of the vessel, it has no protruding parts which could be damaged in shallow water. A removable grid protects the horizontally mounted propeller. Smaller parts and sand are washed through the large-volume housing.
A special propeller generates effective thrust with a high volume at a low pressure.

The Veth Steering Grid is the most recent addition to the Veth product line. It is a 360° rotating bow thruster with a thought through construction.
The Veth Steering Grid has an innovative mechanical design, in which many successful parts of the Veth Bow Thruster have been used such as the steering worm wheel and main gearing. The easy to build in unit takes a limited amount of space. Thanks to the hydrodynamically optimised unit the Veth Steering Grid is very effective and can be delivered in a range from 300 to 650 hp.

OMEGA 360°Azimuth Thruster
OMEGA channel thrusters are capable of rotating through 360° and
available as 2, 3 or 4 channel designs. These units are equipped with a
'Bollard Pull' system with a capacity of 24.9 lbf/kW. They are available with
power ratings ranging from 100 to 1500 kW and can also be used as
propulsion engines for continuous operation. The thrusters can be driven
hydraulically, by a diesel engine or by an electric motor.
OMEGA thrusters are state-of-the-art units constructed from top-quality
materials. These advanced thrusters are equipped with an MnBr/CuNiAl
propeller, a high-grade spiral bevel gear and a stainless anti-wear ring
(optional) around the propeller to avoid erosion. A special filter in the
suction inlet prevents foreign objects from damaging the unit.

Classification certificates for any classification society can be delivered for the whole thruster system.

Veth tunnel thruster
For ships requiring maximum transverse force, the Veth tunnel thruster has repeatedly proved to be the best choice.
The Veth tunnel thruster consists of a tail-end with a vertically mounted NiAlBz propeller with built-in reduction. For this product too, the up-to-date design guarantees maximum operational reliability.
Besides the fixed pitch tunnel thrusters also controllable pitch units can be delivered on request. The blades are changed in pitch hydraulically.

The standard blades areskewed and feature rounded tips for optimum thrust efficiency.
The large blade area and the shape of the blades keep cavitation volume low to minimize noise and achieve optimum comfort levels inside the boat. The completely flat surface of the blades minimizes trailing under sailing
conditions and reduces the peak load on the thruster unit, thereby significantly extending the useful service life of the hydraulic system and the unit as a whole. The blades are bolted to the blade carriers and can be replaced inside the tunnel. The propeller can be designed for special applications on request.

Global Marine Engineering BV, based in Heijningen-Holland, is a very experienced technical company with a history of over 25 years and active in manufacturing drive systems, clutches and gearboxes for industrial and marine applications. Since 1990 they developed bow thrusters for pleasure craft and commercial craft markets.
The existing performance range is from 10kW - 500kW with fixed Kaplan type propellers running in steel, aluminium or FRP tunnel structures for both bow and stern thrusters. The units are built according the requirements of all major marine societies such as ABS, BV, DNV, GL and LRS and available with Class certificate.
On the drawing board is now a range swing-type, retractable thrusters with a range of 10kW - 100kW and propeller diameters of 250 - 700mm.
The drive system is hydraulic or AC-electric motors, proportionally operated.
