Veth tunnel thruster
For ships requiring maximum transverse force, the Veth tunnel thruster has repeatedly proved to be the best choice.
The Veth tunnel thruster consists of a tail-end with a vertically mounted NiAlBz propeller with built-in reduction. For this product too, the up-to-date design guarantees maximum operational reliability.
Besides the fixed pitch tunnel thrusters also controllable pitch units can be delivered on request. The blades are changed in pitch hydraulically.

Global Marine Engineering BV, based in Heijningen-Holland, is a very experienced technical company with a history of over 25 years and active in manufacturing drive systems, clutches and gearboxes for industrial and marine applications. Since 1990 they developed bow thrusters for pleasure craft and commercial craft markets.
The existing performance range is from 10kW - 500kW with fixed Kaplan type propellers running in steel, aluminium or FRP tunnel structures for both bow and stern thrusters. The units are built according the requirements of all major marine societies such as ABS, BV, DNV, GL and LRS and available with Class certificate.
On the drawing board is now a range swing-type, retractable thrusters with a range of 10kW - 100kW and propeller diameters of 250 - 700mm.
The drive system is hydraulic or AC-electric motors, proportionally operated.

HUNDESTED retractable thrusters are available in 4 models ranging from 25 HP to 150 HP. In the ejected mode, the retractable thruster works like a conventional thruster. In the retracted mode a plate covers the opening in the hull, ensuring a minimum of added resistance.
The housing of the retractable thruster is manufactured in aluminium It comes with a 3- or 4-bladed propeller also manufactured in aluminium.
The retraction mechanism is electrically or hydraulically activated.

HUNDESTED thrusters are available in 4 models ranging from 25 HP to 1350 HP.
It is most difficult to establish rigid rules concerning thrust capacity for a special vessel. The necessary thrust and type of thruster depends on vessel size, intended use and required maneuverability.
HUNDESTED thrusters can be hydraulic, electronic or diesel powered (Diesel driven models only available for 120 HP and upwards). The recommended drive system depends again on the vessel and its installed systems.

For the sailor who considers that to order a bow thruster and of poop with 2 separate joysticks is not practical, VETUS developed a new operation panel, which links all the functions of two joysticks, but which functions thanks to a simple directional button. This table is appropriate particularly for the sailboats, on which an end can be possibly rolled up around a joystic. Thanks to the use of sensors said to "Hall effect", there are no holes in the table, which thus remains entirely tight (IP67). The ordering of the directional button is a simple and effective operation. All the safety measures, as well as the other specifications, are identical to the other described panels.

Bow thrusters or of poop, which are available only with one tension equal to the double of the electric circuit of edge (example: an engine of 24 Volt and an A/C system of 12 Volt), can nevertheless be used thanks to the assistance of a parallel contactor series/. When the bow thruster or of poop is not moving, the batteries are connected in parallel and can be charged with the nominal voltage with edge. In order to actuate the engine, the batteries must be series-connected to provide the power wanted using the contactor series/parallel. The contactor series/parallel VETUS is conceived to be installed in a simple and economic way. After having installed the parallel contactor series, there is no modification to carry out on the engine for its operation. If the batteries envisaged for the bow thruster or of poop are also used for other apparatuses on board, it is necessary well to take into account of what follows: The batteries will provide their current via the shore power cables of load and the contacts of load of the parallel contactor series/.
These contacts of load can accept a D.C. current of 100 has maximum uninterrupted, or of 150 has maximum into discontinuous, during 20% of the time of use. Consequently it is absolutely necessary to avoid using these batteries as batteries of starting, or connecting a windlass of anchor there. For the engines of 160 kgf or 220 kgf, which are both conceived for a tension of operation of 24 Volt, a parallel contactor series/is essential in order to enable them to function with an electric A/C system into 12 Volt.

EMERGENCY DISJONCTEUR/ARRET
Modern electrical installations are highly reliable, but in certain countries it is obligatory to have an electric circuit breaker in the event of urgency. This circuit-breaker VETUS, being able to be ordered electrically remotely or activated manually, is an essential safety equipment in the assembly of engine or windlass and with all the apparatuses which order strong electrical currents. The circuit-breaker must be installed more close possible of the battery of the bow thruster (or of another apparatus), but always so that the red button of emergency stop is easily accessible. A remote control is provided as well as wiring ("plug & play") between the circuit-breaker and the table. Cables of extension and the table of control are available in option. So exceptionally the control remote electric is except service (because of a short-circuit, for example), the current of the batteries can be crossed manually, while pressing on the red button urgently. This general cut-current/emergency stop is deliverable for 12 Volt or 24 Volt C.C
Caution:
In the case of a bow thruster of 24 Volt, connected with a network of
edge 12 Volt using a switch parallel series, the circuit breaker for
12 Volt must be selected. And when it is about a bow thruster
from 48 Volt, connected with a aircraft power system 24 Volt using a switch
parallel series, the model 24 Volt must be selected.
Maximum capacities: 250 has uninterrupted, 800 has during 3 minutes by
intermittency.

PUSH-BUTTONS BY ORDER HAS FOOT FOR ENGINES Of ETRAVE/DE POOP
These push-buttons by order with foot are entirely tight (IP65) and they are appropriate, inter alia, par excellence with the sailboats. They can be used with the place - or side - control panel for the propeller of stem. These push-buttons are provided with a lid which protects the system against an involuntary operation. They can be connected with the circuit 12 or 24 Volt. The points of connection and the contacts are out of nickelled copper, in order to ensure a reliable operation and without corrosion. The lid is made into synthetic, resistant to rays UV, or out of stainless steel; with the choice of the customer. The diaphragm is deliverable red or gray color. It goes without saying these push-buttons are appropriate also well for a windlass of anchor.

Today, your operations of harbor can be assisted by computer. VETUS developed a system in which (S) the engine (S) of propulsion, the bow thruster, and possibly the stern thruster, can be put in operation simultaneously. The electronic system Pro-Docker of VETUS is ordered by only one joystick which ensures you a perfect control of the boat. The mooring and the shift of the boat now became a "set of children". Therefore, a perfect assistant, who controls and carries out all the movements of operation of the boat with the highhest degree of accuracy. The system Pro-Docker of VETUS can be used in suit with any kind of propeller of stem or poop, electric like hydraulics.
In option, the system of control "follow-up" of VETUS (code: FUHANDEL) could also be connected to the system, which thus ensures moreover the control of the rudder. To gradually push the joystick towards port side or starboard makes it possible to actuate the propellers of stem and poop proportionally (what wants to say: "of all gently until full energy"). To turn the joystick on the left or on the right made turn the boat on its pin. If you push the joystick ahead or behind, the engines and the reversers are actuated. All the suits of movement are possible; you can for example order the propeller of stem and give a little gas at the same time.

This remote control by radiography can be used - inter alia - for the ordering of the bow thrusters and poop of VETUS. Two models are available:
Model REMCO1, which is composed of a receiver and a manual control with 4 push-buttons: for a bow thruster.
Model REMC02, which is composed of a receiver and a remote control with 4 push-buttons: for the bow thruster, or the bow thruster like for the stern thruster. This remote control is also appropriate for other electrical equipment on board. The remote controls (transmitters) can also be obtained separately; to see tariff.
Receiver REMCO, included there wiring and multi-grip, is appropriate for direct use with a bow thruster or of electric poop of VETUS. An additional wiring, to connect the receiver directly with the electric system of a bow thruster or hydraulic poop of VETUS, is available in option (REMCOH).

Using this connection radio, a bow thruster (or of poop) being able to be actuated via an operation panel VETUS for bow thrusters or of poop, without the installation of an intermediate cable of connection, between the engine and its table, is necessary. Thanks to that, the installation of a bow thruster became much simpler and more rapid. The kit of installation of this connection radio includes/understands a transmitter and a receiver, with the cables, cards, etc, which are appropriate as well for electric installations of 12 or 24 Volt D.C. maximum Capacity: 25A. Two models are available: model RCBP for simple order and model RCBP2 for double order. In order to ensure a guaranteed result, the distance between the receiver and the transmitter should not exceed 15 meters. This order cannot be combined with standard joystick BPJH5, BPJ5D or BPJSTH5.
