The ceiling system is based on the SW50 wall design. With its B-15 fire classification and its sound reduction index of Rw=33dB, the ceiling system meets all requirements of a modern ship's ceiling system and additionally has a high-strength sandwich construction. The assembly is based on the groove-and-tongue principle.
The ceiling is laid onto a sturdy border profile, which runs along and is screwed to the wall. This eliminates the need for additional top profiles. In larger rooms, the panels can be installed with center profiles. The ceiling panels can be supplied with different types of surface finishes to suit different requirements; all of them have a removable protective film to protect them from becoming damaged during installation. The pattern book that is supplied lists available decorative finishes. The design and all materials used have been tested and approved.

The SW50 sandwich wall represents the standard wall model. With a B-15 fire classification and a sound reduction index of Rw = 30 dB, this wall meets all requirements of a modern partition wall system. Its properties include optimum strength, achieved through its high-strength sandwich construction. The assembly is based on the groove-and-tongue principle. The wall is connected to the floor using prefabricated U-shaped sections, available in a number of different lengths from the manufacturer. The sections are laid out and fastened on the floor. Several types of surface finishes are available to suit different requirements; all of them have a removable protective foil to prevent any damage from occurring during installation. The pattern book that is supplied lists available decorative finishes. The design and all materials used have been tested and approved.

The SW 25 sandwich wall is an alternative solution to the standard wall for cases in which space and weight play important roles. It also has the B-15 fire classification. The assembly is based on the groove-and-tongue principle. The wall is connected to the floor using prefabricated U-shaped sections, available in a number of different lengths from the manufacturer. The sections are laid out and fastened on the floor. Wall and ceiling panels made of non-asbestos mineral board are destined for building ship interiors in so called "traditional" way. The interiors designed and equipped in this system comply with the requirements of fire resistance.
Construction
In this system mineral bard is a core which is bonded with laminates on both sides. Laminates are approved as having low flame spread characteristics and are non-toxic. A range of panels enables to build bulkheads in alleyways, partitions between accomodations and linings of steel wall and decks. This system makes it possible to build so called "wet" accomodations such as kitchens, toilets etc, thanks to possibility of sealing grooved edges with silicones. Double walls comply with sound insulation standards. Wall panels are connected with each by means of a loose tonge steel spline. Corner connections are made from various angle and clamping rings. Ceiling panels are screwed to a framing. Joints can be masked with an Omega profile.

Galvanized steel cassettes of 3 mm thickness. All 4 edges are bent for maximum strength.
To insulate according to A-60 fire class combined with acoustic insulation, the F-300 has proved to be a product preferred by many customers.
The system is easily transported and installed with a handy size. It has a very good carriying capasity due to the fact of using 180kgs/m2 insulation as a strong base materials with 3mm galv steel sheet top.

Wall panels exist among living spaces between rooms and between each room and the hallway. They are also used in public spaces (including the kitchen, resting space, hospital, and storage area). By changing to our wall panel system, protection from light and noise and potential fire has been made more effective. Because of this, our panels have already been authenticated by and received numerous certifications from international organizations.

The WAS bulkhead panels are available as both the sandwich construction panel and the asymmetric shape panel. Modular construction with an insulation core of noncombustible material is between the facing of either laminate or sheet steel clad. We also have special solutions for wet areas such as galleries, laundry rooms, and shower areas.

Thanks to their low weight and their high rigidity even big-sized elements out of Metawell require only a light sub-construction. Installations such as lamps and loud-speakers can frequently be inserted without the need of additional fittings. Metawell panels can not only be used in traditional frame solutions, which can be realized with all kinds of common sub-construction systems, but are also excellenty suited for self-supporting suspended ceiling 'islands' in public areas.
Metawell panels are also used for raised floors and platforms in public areas of all kinds of vessels. In view of the stiffness of the panels the distance of the supporting frame can be increased, which reduces both assembly time and cost. For higher requirements regarding the compressive strength (point loads) special panels with a higher compressive strength are available. Technical information regarding the dimensioning of suspended floors can be obtained on request.
The use of big-sized Metawell panels in walls and linings is recommended to create an individual room design of bars, lounges, theatres and discotheques as well as for quickly mountable systems in hat profile constructions or with 'tongue-and-groove' joints. Metawell panels can be produced and processed in almost any length desired so that frequently horizontal joints can be avoided. They can be fixed with traditional systems, which allows for a quick and flexible installation.

Metawell Aluflex is the ideal sandwich material for all curved parts or balustrades as it can easily be shaped and has good sound attenuation characteristics. Thanks to its flexibility the material can be adjusted to the constructional conditions at site in the best possible way. The attractive corrugation can be used as design element, too.
