Both pintles and gudgeons are manufactured from a heat treated corrosion resistant aluminium alloy, with black anodised finish for complete protection. Precision machining and optional low friction carbon bushes eliminate undesirable play in the rudder system. Pintles are cross pinned for added rigidity and absolute security. Spare bushes (part number: 18-39) are available for gudgeons.
