Dramatic is the only word that even comes close to describing the performance of a TRAC marine stabilizer system compared to any first generation boat stabilizer. Other boat stabilizing products provide some degree of "roll dampening" but the TRAC marine stabilizer virtually eliminates roll altogether!
Solid state inertial sensors feed the TRAC's control processor with vessel roll and heel angle data in real time. TRAC's stabilizer fin angle of attack is adjusted over 200 times per second to create roll countering lift the instant it is detected.
"In marine stabilization, speed is the key. You must stop roll before it starts otherwise you end up fighting the vessel's momentum as well as the forces of the sea, and that's a losing battle. The lightning fast reaction time of the TRAC marine stabilizer processor is key to its premium performance.

Stabilis Electra is the revolutionary system being offered by CMC Marine to overcome the problem of diminished dynamics of a mechanical actuator. Stabilis Electra uses a new generation of actuator to move a fin stabiliser connected to a DC motor with a permanent magnet.
This solution greatly simplifies the hardware for the electronic control system which in turn is much more flexible and powerful versus a control system for a hydro-mechanical system.
Moreover, this allows for the control of the fin system with input from various reference parameters such as: power, torque, speed, position and power absorption, to create new highly sophisticated and adaptable control algorithms.
Stabilis Electra therefore offers significant advantages, both in terms of performance and capital cost:
- Faster response at a higher frequency.
- No significant loss of power.
- Faster rotating speed which helps tremendously when at anchor.
- A reduction in the power absorption of 50% compared to a traditional hydro-mechanical actuator.
- Less volume.
- Less installed power.
- Lower installation costs due to simpler mechanics and a reduction in the number of components.
- Greater flexibility with regards to the design and installation.

CMC Marine stabilizer fins are the tangible result of extensive research.
Being stabilization fin design extremely important to offset the effect of vessel rolling, at CMC great attention has been paid to the fluid-dynamics analysis, the result being a profile geometry that achieves a successful compromise between the load capacity (Cl) and resistance (Cd ) coefficients. These results are also fine-tuned by taking into account the limitations imposed by the yacht's hull form and limitations. High Cl levels are obtained with low incidence angles, minimizing both the effects of drag and system inertia.
Stabilizer fin sizes range from 0.75sqm to 4sqm.

Problem? sizing stabilizer fins for the modern yacht hull form… creating fins large enough to perform both underway and at anchor without exceeding the hull envelope… or, keeping your OnAnchor™ or ZeroSpeed™ installation a two-fin installation instead of four…
Solution! Quantum XT™ fins, patented innovation from the world standard for yacht stabilizers, underway or at anchor. XT™ fins extend to provide additional lift while in ZeroSpeed™ or OnAnchor™ mode, and then retract for less drag while underway.

TRACStar - Yacht Stabilization at Rest by ABT-TRAC
Boat Stabilization at anchor, moored, or while drifting
TRAC-Star, STabilization At Rest, is a marine stabilizer system that significantly reduces vessel roll while anchored, on a mooring, or while drifting. TRACStar is a feature that can be added to most existing TRAC stabilzers and is available as an option on all new TRAC systems.
TRACStar works by transiting the stabilizer fins at the right speed at just the right moment. Star's unique 3-term algorithm measures roll and controls the stabilizing fin's movement to generate a smooth counter-acting energy pulse that significantly dampens roll.
Star equipped systems are fitted with longer chord fin stabilizers. Power is provided by an AC or generator driven hydraulic pump (TRAC Integrated Hydraulics). Careful attention to equipment layout and design minimizes noise and vibration.
Operation of TRAC-Star is simple and intuitive, requiring single touch command to activate. Star uses the same pilot house touch-screen LCD panel as standard TRAC stabilizing systems.
TRAC Yacht Stabilizers are built for heavy-duty service. Load bearing components are intentionally oversized. Double sealed shaft housings require no maintenance between haulouts. TRAC's unique inboard hull flange and external hull doubler sandwich system speeds installation and eliminates costly, dry rot prone, wooden blocks.

DIA-LOG is an electronic control system with a double adjustment ring, developed entirely in digital technology. The inertia unit identifies and processes vessel rolling. The signals are instantly processed by the electronic regulator, which directs each fin to the required position at a certain speed for generating a suitable righting effect.
DIA-LOG's flexibility can be seen in any conditions (including rough sea and anchored vessels). Moreover, easy diagnostics are a routine feature due to an archiving system of all data.
