The first Eclipse built by her designer, has sailed several thousand miles now and is currently cruising the American Coast with Richard, she has proved an excellent ocean passage maker, having crossed the Atlantic and sailed around the Caribbean. The boat has good load carrying for a couple for ocean cruising with performance that is astonishing in a cruising cat. So far a top speed of 21 knots has been registered, while its capable of 8.5 knots to windward tacking through less than 90 degrees. It has proven to point higher than IMS race boats 20ft longer. Also the pronounced knuckle and high bridgedeck clearance means bridgedeck slamming is a thing of the past.
The Eclipse has been designed as a performance cruiser to fit in the Woods Designs range between the Sagitta and the Banshee. Performance will be excellent in all conditions, based on experience with the Sagitta and Banshee we expect the Eclipse to be slightly quicker than either of these two boats. That means windward performance equivalant to 12m monohulls and speeds in the high teens off wind.

Has many thousands of sea miles to her credit in the North Sea, the Atlantic, the Caribbean and at all times of the year. She has crossed the Atlantic in mid winter and faced severe weather conditions in the Channel.
She has not yet sailed around the world, although two of Pat Patterson's designs the Heavenly Twins and Ocean Winds have completed circumnavigations but it is only a matter of time ...
Star Twins has a very fast hull shape and is deceptively fast, easily sailed and handled craft. Her superb accomodation and excellent headroom, 5ft 10ins headroom on the headroom, 6ft 3ins in the hulls, suggest a lesser performance but many a sailor has been pleasantly suprised by the easy handling and turn of speed she produces.

New way of sailing, it's an exceptional boat for week-ends and holiday program. Easy to manoeuvre and reassuring because of the ergonomy of the deck. High performances when sailing. Brought to 12,19 m, the FREYDIS 39' Racing has a rotary carbon mast for a sails area of 116 m² at close reach. This daggerboards version is proposed with a 2 cabins layout.

The Lightwave 45' Sailing Cat is a bluewater cruiser designed to negotiate long distances with minimal effort.
This awesome sleek sailing cat is proving its global going capabilities with one currently participating in an Around the World Rally. In late 2008, this cat WON the Multihull Division of the Arc Atlantic Rally, the largest transocean sailing event in the World.
The sleek hulls provide extensive storage and tankage areas, generous bridgedeck clearance, and the power to accommodate the large rig and engines. The deck layout and sail systems are configured for ease of handling when shorthanded.
The accommodation includes a master cabin with island style bed and walk in robe, guest cabin with ensuite and a third double cabin. The aft deck and cockpit area provides sheltered outdoor dining and lounging areas, and features the Lightwave signature Raised Helm Station. Broad transoms, a duckboard with lifting crane, and large external engine rooms, enhance this area.

The African FastCat 455 Green Motion is a Cat of the latest generation, which offers an unrivalled level of comfort, as a result of the use of the strongest and lightest materials, which it manages to combine with the sailing properties of a competition vessel! Our requirements, were as follows: keeping the weight to a minimum, the safety to a maximum and ample room for 4 to 8 sailors. The bridge deck offers room for a royal lounge area with seating for 8 people (with the added option of lowering the table into a fully fledged King size bed), a navigation corner with forward vision which can also be used as a second steering position, a comfortable spacious galley with an oven, microwave, fridge and of course abundant storage space. The double seat in the dinette is an insulated cold box that can optionally function as a 160 litre freezer. 2 master cabins( 1,80 X 2,10 meters beds!), a desk, a bathroom with toilet, shower and washbasin and an adequate wardrobe and storage area. Large storage areas are also located at the front of the hulls. 5 large storage spaces on deck. Our new standard drive system is 2 electrical underwatermotors that regenerate energy while sailing.

"Cruiser-racer" version of the FREYDIS 46' Cruiser, this cat has deep carbon daggerboards to improve the upwind pointing ability at close hauled and to reduce the drag when off the wind. The FREYDIS 50' Racing is a high sea cat definitely turned towards speed with a great deckfitting to use the boat at its maximum potentials. Realized by TOURNIER MARINE, the rotary mast is in carbon with a Kevlar rigging. From mainworks to layout, we always tried to centre and to reduce the weight to increase the speed. Performances of Dominique Demachy on board of Gifi show that we won our bet.

An absolute breakthrough in weight whilst still maintaining the right level of comfort...The new African FastCat 605 Green Motion is built with vacuüm infusion, which stands for Kevlar and basalt fibre, Epoxy, Vacuum Infusion.
This method is used to lay up the hulls, deck, bulkheads and interior modules onto a dry sandwich of Basalt, Kevlar and closed cell foam. The sandwich will sub-sequently be put under a minimum of 24 hours of vacuum.
This method uses less resin and results in a stronger laminate which directly trans-late into a fantastic weight saving of in the African Fast Cat 605 Green Motion. Carbon fibre is applied to the hulls, keels, rudders, mast foundation and rig which gives a great deal of extra strength. Both the hull and deck are built in one piece after which the bulk-heads and interior modules are installed and the deck is bonded onto the hull. After that the whole yacht is baked at 80 degrees Celsius for 8 hours for the post curing in order to create an extreme strong construction. The Kevlar in the hulls is used as an extra barrier against impact.

The Ocean Voyager Fast 62' is a day charter catamaran built and optimized like a racing boat to reduce weight and thus support the performances under sail : a speed of 25 knots will be regularly reached.
The use of 2 of these catamarans makes it possible to organize regattas where passengers will be able to initiate themselves with the subtleties of sailing competition : these light and fast boats will attract customers in the search of sensations.
In a geographical area with a high tourism concentration the owner of 2 Ocean Voyager Fast 62' will be able to answer efficiently to different demands : for example when a cruising liner stop in a marina or if situated next to a congress centre, if you have 2 boats you will be able to reach more persons at the meantime.
Obviously these catamarans allow a more traditional use in day-charter : for example a coastal navigation punctuated by a bath in a paradisiacal place followed by a cocktail prepared by the crew at the bar located aft of the platform.
The dynamic design of the Ocean Voyager Fast
62' brings to mind the transoceanic racing multihulls and makes of this boat an ideal communication support, hulls and sails could be decorated to sponsor colours.
The commercial use of the Ocean Voyager
62', as well as for the complete range of catamarans offered by CIM Shipyard is a simple and reliable concept easy to maintain associated to a rapid return on investment. The first two Ocean Voyager Fast 62' are currently under construction at CIM Shipyard.

The GUNBOAT 78 reminds one that GUNBOAT is about performance. The hulls apply the lessons learned by Irens/Cabaret with their record breaking trimarans IDEC and SODEBO. The waterlines are more slender, yet the interior spaces flare out for the same feeling of space. A refined higher aspect sailplan is more efficient, and requires fewer sails. The GUNBOAT 78 is a bold performance design that is large enough to carry all of the comforts without any sacrifice in performance.

FastCat 415 Green Motion will be a new designed catamaran to follow-up on the earlier FastCat 395 VK. 100 mm more head room throughout and increased buoyancy are some of the many detailed specifications we have asked for with the design.
She will be a very comfortable and fast catamaran, capable of circumnavigating the world.
