Fast? Ask Ulli Libor the well respected German Dragon sailor. He took a brand new Thoroughbred Racer to the worlds in Dublin last September. After 4 days of sailing he was leading the competitive 70 boat fleet. To bad he lost his winning strike ended in the last difficult light air race but still allowing him to grab the silver medal in his brand new boat. It leaves no room for doubt!
Stiff? Her deck was made to the strict Doomernik standards. In other words: here no plastic flap, thrown on the hull, but special matting was used to make it strong and smooth and then bolted - yes bolted! -, glued and bonded, to the famous André Hoek designed, extra stiff hull.
Functional? Our special "Barney Post" now being poorly imitated, our thought through hard waring and lining of all functions, our lay-in bottom and special rib under the canopy for extra strain absorption, our unique "Sliding Door" arrangement for the spi tube which is now fully integrated in the deck, are just some eye catching refinements of what one should expect in a modern Dragon.
Beautiful? Seeing is believing but from the above you should be able to discern that this must be a beautiful "thing". Love for detail and functionality make things beautiful. You know that! All you have to do now is come, see and get that inevitable, elating, dizzying, feeling that you must have one....Every time I make one I get this nagging feeling, too...

The beautiful teak deck with mahogany cockpit are Doomernik Dragons’ calling card. The cockpit is built using a double-wall principle that gives the boat a very modern appearance. The form differentiates itself from the usual type of construction in terms of both rigidity and elegant design. All mahogany parts of the cockpit are epoxy glued using vacuum technologie. The teak planks on the floor exude luxury. Teak strips are integrated into the edge of the cockpit. In short: a Doomernik Dragon ‘turns heads’.

Doomernik Dragons recently introduced the unique ‘day-sailor’ based on the hull of a competition Dragon. With this touring boat, Doomernik Dragons, the only Dragon builder in the Netherlands, is fulfilling the dream of many touring yachts people.
This ‘day-sailor’ construction has the same hull as the competition model and the same wooden deck that gives the boat its vintage look. The layout has been simplified though, guaranteeing straightforward yachting pleasure, even single-handed.
Until now, touring was reserved for the wooden Dragon only. Many an enthusiast was reluctant to buy such a vessel mainly because of the intensive upkeep required. Good maintenance-friendly models are scarce as well. For a large group of touring yachts people a Dragon is too expensive and the crisscross of lines is too great. Until now. The launch of the unique ‘day-sailor’ Dragon from Doomernik Dragons offers a real solution for many touring yachts people.
From the basic model, the boat can be extended as desired with trim options like a spinnaker chute on the foredeck that even allows single-handed spinnakering!
