In the 82 we believe we have achieved the desired goal of a package of ‘big boat’ features and accommodation normally associated with yachts in the 90-foot plus range. This is all to do with CAD optimisation, maximising effective waterline length and the trend towards beam, not just in the amidships area but to create more useable volume at the ends. The key here is to accomplish these criteria without compromising potential performance and with a profile that is aesthetically pleasing.
Once again the team looked towards yachts far larger than our new Oyster 82 for inspiration. What features were offered by these “Super yachts” that have, until now, been beyond the expectations of those looking to purchase a yacht under eighty feet?

These innovations enabled the Yacht to provide the ease-of-sailing and uncluttered decks and cockpit areas that were an important aspect of the owner’s requirements. Hull construction in cedar core/epoxy/glass/Kevlar produced a Yacht with an impressive turn of speed to go with her in-built stability.

Staggering, everything on Victoria T. is staggering… Almost
104 feet long, a 125 feet mast, 7,000 sq. ft. of sail, 30 tons of lead in a bulb keel, the finest leather delicately blended with teak, silver birch and mahogany. Surf the wave in intoxication, experience her dazzling performance into the wind.
Victoria T.’s understated elegance is equally staggering. She is luxurious and delightful yet remains dignified and tasteful. Bruce Farr designed a yacht beyond fashion where classicism and grace complement the qualities of a racer.
Victoria T. was custom-built at the owners’ request, designed, studied and constructed to project her best, cultivated and refined ; each detail is the reflection of hours of study, of research and of passionate labor.
