The ideas for the 17m Classic Yacht / Enavigo 56 are to design a nice looking yacht in the spirit of the traditional yachts with maximum elegance and high performance. A yacht created for optimum sailing pleasure and a pleasure to look at, without compromise.
To achieve this we will take full advantage of the modern materials and technology. This means a modern below waterline profile with a deep fin / bulb keel and high aspect spade rudder. For the hull construction is chosen wood core method; western red cedar strip planking covered with UD glass fibres in epoxy.
This guarantees a light displacement boat and together with a carbon fibre mast it will be a very powerful boat that can carry a lot of sail area.
For the deck the craftsmanship of a classic yacht will be used with a small cabin top in style to get the right look.

Since the time of its most famous resident King Mausolous (4th Century BC) Bodrum has been an important local boat building centre. King Ptolemy of Egypt had warships built here in the 3rd century BC in the area now occupied by the present day marina. The bustling activity of Bodrum's boat yards is little changed from the ancient industry that built Ptolemy's fleet. Many of the boats seen today are modern versions of much older craft. With its symmetrically pointed bow- and stern and huge outboard rudder aft, the tirhandil is a direct descendent of an ancient Aegean design and once the favourite of area sponge divers. More recently, the boat of choice is the gulet, taken from the Italian gouletta, ketch rigged with broad beam and rounded stern, and the ayna kic (similar to the gulet but with a squared off stern, hence its name in Turkish—mirror back). Gulet is ideal for private use or chartering, her broad beam and spacious decks provide room for comfortable cabins below and generous alfresco living above decks.

Kealoha is the first of a Truly Classic 90 series built by Claasen Jachtbouw. she is the 16th Hoek yacht to be built there. In addition to twin cockpits and deckhouses, this deep ocean family cruiser racer has separate quarters forward for two crew. We think this is the most interior volume we have ever designed in a 90 ft classic hull, with an aft owner's cabin, a full-height engine room, a good lounge area with open plan galley and impressive guest cabins. The layout will work very well for a family boat that can be sailed by her American owners, with crew maintaining the boat and sailing her when chartered. She won the 2007 "International Superyacht Design Award" in the category 24-40 m.

The German Frers-designed Rebecca is the largest ketch to be built to-date at Pendennis and without doubt one of the finest looking, modern sailing Yachts in the world.
The owner wished to combine all the best elements of Yachts from the mid-19th century to the modern day, in a stylish, eye-catching Yacht which would give high performance under sail. German Frers duly produced drawings for a 42-metre Yacht with fine lines and a graceful shear, which is both extremely attractive and performance-minded.
