A hydraulic boom vang from Holmatro provides maximum boom control while sailing and when moored. It makes reefing and flaking of your mainsail easy as it also acts as a topping lift. A variety of control panels are available for easy adjustment. In combination with our quick release the vang can be dumped instantly. Advanced design techniques and materials keep weight to a minimum.

A Seldén Rodkicker facilitates sail handling when reefing, preventing the boom from dropping into the cockpit or onto the coach roof. When fitted with a Seldén fas spring, it lifts the boom when the kicking strap is released.
Excellent for trimming the main in light air. The Seldén Rodkicker also doubles the purchase of your kicking strap.

Hall Spars & Rigging's QuikVang is the original high-performance solid vang. It's simple, easy to instal, easy to use, and it lasts. As Pracitcal Sailor magazine wrote "[the QuikVang] was designed right in the beginning." That's why you'll see QuikVangs still performing after years on the water. Hall Spars & Rigging introduced the original QuikVang in 1986. The QuikVang is a mechanical van that relies on the simplicity of an inner stainless steel spring and external purchase. More than 20 years later, the original vang is the standard by which all mechanical vangs are measured.

Sparcraft offers two ranges of vangs issued from ou rigging experience - Performance & Ocean - according to your boat and your sailing programm : cruising or racing.
The Sparcraft Ocean vang has the properties of the cruising programm: reliability, simplicity & robustness. It is a real value for the money.

Navtec' s Series 850 A Vang is more powerful, safer, and easier to use than its competitors, including mechanical vangs. It features an extra - large piston rod to resist buckling, and can also provide boom lift in light air or act as a topping lift when the sail is flaked. Add a Push Button Quick Release Valve to instantaneously dump the vang when needed.

The "Telescopicvang" is a compact, mechanical system which replaces the classic vang, and topping lift features. The Telescopicvang body already possesses an internal reduction between 3:1 and 5:1 depending on the model. In conjunction with an external tackle, it provides even more power, with a relation up to 40:1, making it an economical and viable alternative to hydraulic systems.
The stainless steel spring allows for the boom to be positioned at the ideal height substituting the topping lift. This facilitates the reefing maneuvers, eliminating the need for an additional operation. The Telescopicvang is made of aluminum hard anodized and teflonized. It is available in four sizes for boats between 8 to 16 meters (24 and 55 feet).
The hardware for mounting the vang on the boom and mast, as well the external tackles, is sold separately (see tackles on page 52 and 53).

The CL244 boom cleat allows you to adjust your outhaul whilst sailing to achieve the ideal sail shape and keep ahead of the competition. The tooth design of the cleat allows a quick, positive lock that is easy to release.
The alloy cleat is fitted onto the boom by a strap that allows you to personalise the position, a rubber packing piece accomodates tapered or oval tubes.
We offer 3 sizes of stap to fit most booms, CL111,CL115 and CL134.
The CL111 and CL115 suite booms 110-116mm in circumference.
whilst the CL134 covers booms from 132-136mm circumference.

For over a decade the EZ-Systems Hydraulic Deck Crane has proven to be the highest state-of-the-art yacht crane technology in an aesthetically pleasing design. The EZ Systems hydraulic deck crane is available in lifting capacities of up to ten-thousand pounds, and in stowed boom lengths starting at twelve-feet. Any of these cranes may be special-ordered built to MCA Mega Yacht Code compliance.
This specification sheet describes our smaller cranes with lifting capacities of up to 5000 pounds. The EZ-System’s telescoping aluminum boom is capable of being loaded to its full safe working load capacity in any position without restriction. The intelligent engineering inherent in this design allows distributed load-deflection across the boom during moments of dynamic loading, reducing the amount of shock-loading transmitted to the deck. Virtually silent-operating, our Hydraulic Linear Winch system, a totally non-fouling winch design reflects the innovative and dependably safe operating characteristics built into the extending boom. This feature adds the additional element of operational safety as the winch travels with the boom during operation of the crane. This prevents any possibility of two-blocking the system causing damage to the cable.

At Pennel & Flipo, we have developed a very strong composite of PU and double-ply polyester to be used as permanent boom.
You can achieve easier deployment given the increased suppleness of our formulation.
Also, most competitors’ fabrics are press-coated, a process that allows threads to move to the surface of the coating, permitting water and pollutants to infiltrate, thereby reducing the abrasion resistance and the mechanical properties down the road.
Our process consists of laminating films of PU on 2 layers of weave, a process that ensures increased longevity. Given that the middle layer of the PU is protected by 2 weaves, it maintains its’ original properties over a much longer period of time.
We formulated a high end virgin Polyether PU, not blended, ensuring up to 3 times the abrasion resistance of competitive products. This heavy double-ply composite is not thermo-set, thereby allowing the welding of seams and accessories.
