To collect excess resin from composite manufacturing processes, reducing the risk of resin entry to vacuum pumps and central vacuum lines. With a simple modification to the vacuum tubing glands, the vessel may also be used as a resin degassing and feed pot.

Extra tall outer vessel to accommodate large volume 11 litre resin bucket. The large total vessel volume of 19 litres (5 US gallons) also provides a useful vacuum reservoir in power failure situations
Side mounted isolation valve - used for leak testing and to rapidly isolate the trap from the vacuum system
Side mounted vacuum gauge and controlled-rate air admit valve to reduce resin disturbance on air admit. The gauge and air admit valve remain in place when the lid is removed to change the resin bucket. This reduces the likelihood of damage and reduces "clutter" on the lid
