Easy to sail with one line reefing and roller furling jib. The single line host/drop Gennaker system and trapeze offer a bit more performance. The Bahia Sport offers an upgraded Mylar mainsail. The righting lines and built-in handles make capsize recovery a breeze. The hoop that anchors the mainsheet offers a great handle and keeps the cockpit clean from lines. The extra high boom makes sure all will have an enjoyable experience. The storage box option offers a great place to bring along goodies for a picnic or stow the collapsible oars or engine.
Row
If you add the rowing option, you simply take the lid from the storage box and turn it over to fit across the beam of the boat. From there you can extend the collapsible oars and row yourself home. The boat is large enough to sit five adults comfortably, but small enough to be rowed by one person. Best of both worlds.
Motor
The Bahia has an easy to install engine bracket that has two pins. One is like a rudder pintle and fits into a hole in the transom and the other is a locking eye bolt that secures the bracket to the stern. The Bahia is easily pushed by a 4 HP motor or less. With one crew member aboard it really gets going!

A beginners dinghy for all the family
12'0" of pleasure, whether sailing on the wind, by motor or with oars !
Convivial, simple to use and rig, and especially stable in the water; the CAP SUD has caught on quickly with sailing schools. This dinghy is perfect for leisurely trips out and beginners classes for up to 3 people at a time (adults and/or children), and compensates for the typical errors of your early learner.
The Cap Sud can easily be transported over land as the hulls weighs just 150 lbs, plus the rubbing strakes are generous in design.
The spacious cockpit, wide beam, aggressive-design of the deck fittings and the alignment of the fore-deck with the side tanks mean you can lie back and soak up the sun in the ultimate comfort.
Climbing aboard after a dip in the sea couldn't be easier due to the moderate cut of the freeboard, as well as the smooth lines and remarkable stability of the boat as a whole. The shallow tank rim offers added safety for beginners. The adaptability/cost ration of this dinghy makes it an especially good long-term investment. |

Welcome to the new, asymmetrical spinnaker dinghy ...
The adaptable, thoroughbred and high-performance hull design of the BOOXY 4.40 makes this ultra-stable dinghy both quick and comfortable, enabling helmsmen to discover the "new generation'" dinghy for themselves whilst also appreciating the advantages of its asymmetrical spinnaker.
The whole length of the self-draining cockpit is open, and the side tanks and open transom have been designed especially with user-friendliness in mind.
The Booxy is fitted with a large, waterproof tank underneath the deck, offering a convenient place in which to store effects and personal belongings.
Very carefully constructed, including a double bunt linked to the hull with pre-moulded polyester, this single-piece vessel is particularly stable on the water. Any mechanical problems caused by the shrouds or centre-board tank are eliminated by special supports, whilst the "wing" rubbing strakes are designed according to the shape of the hull, adding extra rigidity. |
