Deck Handler
The "Deck Handler" is a specialized all-wheel drive marine reach stacker designed for use on-board coastal vessels and large river barges. It is designed to reach out over the edge of the ship and lift a container from the wharf's edge. The operator retracts the boom to bring the container on-board the ship, and then stows the container on deck. A similar machine could also be transported on trains.

When it comes to loading and unloading full containers, few competitors can match our trucks in lifting capacity and efficiency. Once again, modern technology, high performance, and stability are crucial. Our truck series lifts containers from 24 tons and 3 high up to a full 43 tons and 5 high. The series is available with the cabin mounted low at the front or high in the middle for optimal handling, visibility, and safety. The choice is yours!

Laden Container Handler Reachstacker Capacity 42000 - 45000 kg
A large percentage of the world's freight is moved in containers between busy ports and container terminals around the globe. This continuously expanding and competitive process requires highly efficient handling equipment to ensure rapid turnaround times. This tough and demanding industry needs rugged and durable equipment that also combines sophistication in the handling of heavy and very valuable loads. The impressive Linde Reachstacker was designed and built by engineers who understand the specialised demands of container handling. These superb trucks bring a new dimension to the efficient handling of ISO containers. The Linde reach stacker utilises either a toplift telescopic handler or a combination handler for up to five-high stacking, threedeep in container storage applications. For the tough and demanding environment of the container handling industry the Linde reach stacker more than measures up to the challenge, delivering consistent high performance, reliability and durability while keeping operational costs to a minimum.

The Bromma RSE40:
The spreader can adjust its length to lift containers from 20%u2019 to 40%u2019 using ISO floating twistlocks. Mechanical Pile Slope, tilt (optional), rotation and side shift features enable easy location onto containers achieved with smooth control technology. The telescopic spreader is of a monobeam frame construction designed to absorb both vertical and horizontal forces. Four ISO twistlocks engage the containers top apertures and lock into the corner castings. As standard, the spreader is equipped with 4 x 3 tonnes lifting lugs in the corners of the end beams for handling damaged containers or special cargoes. The RSE40 is controlled with 24 VDC solenoid operated valves and inductive proximity sensors. The electrical system is designed to ensure maximum safety during operation. All motions of the spreader are controlled from the driver%u2019s cab over serial communication (CANopen) or parallel wiring (optional) and all commands are processed safely by the spreader Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Lifting allowance is monitored by the ECU and implemented on the reach stacker to ensure safe container handling. In addition, the onboard ECU offers self-diagnostic technology, derived from Bromma%u2019s innovative SCS³ crane spreader control system. The RSE40 spreader achieves greater performances with lower tare weight, extended service intervals and longer likely replacement cycles. Available with several options, the Bromma RSE40 will enhance driver%u2019s experience for a maximum productivity.
Major features:
- 20%u2019 to 40%u2019 cylinder driven
- Floating ISO twistlocks
- ±1000mm side shift
- -195°/+105° rotator
- ±3,5° MPS
- Full CANopen bus integrated management

ELME spreader Model 817 is a telescopic top spreader for the handling of loaded ISO containers weighing up to 45 tons. It is designed for use with reach stackers. The basic concept of this type of spreader offers distinct advantages such as:
- two parallel telescopic beams, assuring max overlap
- beam sections dimensioned to absorb not only the vertical, but also the very considerable horizontal forces
- floating twistlocks, allowing movements up to 10 mm in each direction, made of 42CrMo4 forged steel, extremely easy to service.
Two hydraulic cylinders slide the spreaders mid frame smoothly over synthetic wear pads up to 800 mm to either side. A slewing ring of the highest quality is driven by a hydraulic motor via a satellite type gear reduction system. Rotation is 95° to one side and 185° to the other side.
Each twistlock is protected individually against unwanted rotation by a mechanical system. Additionally, electric signals from all land pins simultaneously, indicating that all twistlocks have landed properly, are preconditions for the turning of the twistlocks. With the container lifted, the twistlocks can not be turned. A signal is available to the truck to block the hoist function if the twistlocks are not fully turned. Another signal is given to stop the downward movement of the boom as soon as the spreader has landed properly on the container. With twistlocks %u201Clanded%u201D and/or "locked" the extension/retraction function is blocked. Three indicator lights monitor the "locked", "unlocked" and "landed" positons of the twistlocks. All lights will start to flash if any of the sensors is out of order, or has continued to send its signal longer than usual.

ELME Spreader Model 517 is a telescopic top spreader for the handling of empty ISO containers. It is designed for use with reach stackers. The basic concept of this type of spreader, which has been used by ELME since 1978, offers distinct advantages such as:
- two parallel telescopic beams, assuring max overlap
- beam sections dimensioned to absorb not only the vertical, but also the very considerable horizontal forces
- floating twistlocks, movements up to 10 mm in each direction, made of 42CrMo4 forged steel, extremely easy to service.
Two hydraulic cylinders slide the spreaders mid frame smoothly over synthetic wear pads up to 800 mm to either side. A slewing ring of the highest quality is driven by a hydraulic motor via a satellite type gear reduction system. Rotation is 95º to one side and 185º to the other side.
Mechanical as well as electrical stops block the rotation beyond this range.
