GP42 is a boat built on a box rule similar to the TP52, but as the TP52 rules were originally defined by the Transpacific Yacht Club for their own racing circuit, Offshore racing Council has defined a smaller, but no less attractive, classes; GP42, GP33 and GP26.
GP42 is a class of fast mono-hull keelboats with reliability and self sufficiency as primary objectives. Yachts in this class shall race without time allowance and this will make for exciting racing.

Salona Yachts introduced the Salona 45 at the 2006 United States Sailboat Show in Annapolis. The Salona 45 went immediately into Boat of the Year judging where it was a finalist in both the cruising and racing categories. The Salona 45, designed by J&J Designs, is a true performance-cruiser. Stiff and powerfull, yet responsive in light winds. The Salona 45 has "water tight" bulkheads (using glands to house the passing wires). The Salona 45 has been built with multiaxial handlaminated GRP sandwich construction (AIREX and PVC closed cells). The first layers of laminate have been made with vinylester resin, giving the perfect anti-osmosis protection to the hull.
The Salona 45 offers a three and four cabin layout with two heads. Beautifuly varnished light american cherry-wood furniture makes the living environment functional and spaceous. High quality gloss varnish apllication perfectly matches the comfortable suroundings below deck. The three or four cabin versions will perfectly suit the needs of the 6 or 8 people crew.

Comet 45 Sport, European Yacht of the Year 2005, follows the new standard generation of Comar, started with Comet 51 Sport.
Designed by Studio Vallicelli, the waterlines give good performance in each range. Straight stem, open stern, low coach-roof with fixed portholes, slim line hatches, teak toe rail, optional double wheel.
Everything emphasises the sporting spirit of this beautiful boat. Two different keels, both lead and antimonium, with two different drafts: 2,40 the standard keel, and 2,80 the racing keel.
Sail plan is 9/10 fractioned rig with Sparcraft Performance tapered mast, three aft swept spreaders, without running stays.

It is the boat of tip of yard RIMAR, planned from Ceccarelli Yacht Design (planner between the other of the Class Goblet America "Latin Mascalzone" and "+39"), is a boat that spouse perfectly the philosophy of the fast-cruiser binding together hull lines and you hang to us aggressive from racer pure to a confort and of the found rifiniture inner on luxury boats.
This has been possible because RIMAR has succeeded to above all join the tradition of the handicraft construction with the innovation of the materials and of the ideas.

Not only does she have spectacularly balanced proportions, great lines and elegant detailing, but she also incorporates the best of the latest boat building innovations - her hull is built entirely from epoxy resins and E-glass/Kevlar laminates.
