This Wave Worker 1500 is a rugged and powerful catamaran which was built as an oil recovery boat for pollution control service. She has a raised wheelhouse to give a clear working deck space for location of the spill recovery equipment and she has large moon pool forward between the hulls. She is fitted with oil recovery tanks capable of storing 34 cu.m of oil and she has an hydraulic knuckle boom crane fitted on the aft deck to assist in operations.
|
|
CATAMAR is an oil pollution recovery vessel, used in the event of serious pollution created for example after sinking, a collision on sea or oil slick created by illegal tanker degasifications.
CATAMAR is able to work effectively up to Beaufort Force 4 with a continuous hydrocarbons absorption capacity of 100m3/hour.
In the event of very serious high volume pollution, oils and the hydrocarbons are transferred to a floating flexible tank towed by CATAMAR.
Adapting to the thickness of the oil slick, and with its floating booms deployed to a 10 m width, CATAMAR can clean, in one hour, a surface area of more than two hectares.
