In order to support the growth and development of the Techno 293 OD and Hybrid classes, BIC Windsurf developed the One Design Rig package for use specifically by youth sailors on hybrid boards. This rig package has been designed to be raced in the widest wind range possible, representing the best possible compromise between light wind pumping performance and high wind planing performance. The key features of these rigs include:
A huge wind range: from 6 to 30 knots. By tuning the downhaul and outhaul, the sail can be rigged either very full with a tight leech, or very flat with an open leech.
A draft placement at approx. 40% from the front of the sail (freeride sails = 30% / sub-planing sails = 50%), offering the best compromise between lightwind performance and high wind control.
6 batten / 2 cam configuration for the best compromise between weight and performance.
A very stable profile for ease of use and control in the high winds.
A tack strap tensioner for maximum tuning range and power in light winds.
X-Ply reinforcements in critical areas, durable luff pocket material and webbing batten tensioners for ease of use and practicality in a club and racing environment. Though you may not win every race in all wind conditions, the goal of the One Design sails is to make sure that you have the tools to win the regatta!

The high-quality NORTH SAILS “all-rounder” with a carbon content of 55% and impressive overall performance. The SILVER mast series is now also produced using AEROSPACE.PREPREG.TECHNOLOGY, that allows computer-aided adjustment of the carbon, glass, and resin content. Our skinny masts contain 90% pre-preg carbon fiber. Pre-preg is the key to acheiving a superior weight-to-strength ratio.
The fibers are pre-saturated to an exact resin-to-fiber ratio, then hand-wrapped around a mandrel, and then thermally cured.
The Ezzy Skinny Mast gets its superior strength from the 50% extra thickness of its walls.
The small diameter makes the Ezzy Skinny a dream to sail. You'll notice the improved handling right away in your jibes.

- Axial suspension front end:
Easy to assemble at the mast with its hinge lock system.
Axial suspension; the front end is equipped with a rotating bearing which compensates for excessive leverage and vibrations.

HYBRID WAVE BOOM
The Hybrid wave boom features a continuous aluminium body with 26mm diameter
arms.
To maintain the narrow diameter for the full length of the arm. the tail piece is 22mm.
The Hybrid Boom also features the unique re-designed Severne dual density front lever for comfort and impact protection.

ALU RACE
Severne took on the challenge to make racing more affordable and introduces the stiffest aluminium race boom ever.
This breakthrough race boom design has been achieved through optimization of wall thickness and a larger boom diameter towards the back.
The one piece monocoque body also utilises a large diameter tail-piece extending more than 700mm into the boom arms to maximise stiffness. Even at full extension there is over 500mm still inside the arm of the larger sizes to maintain ultimate performance.
The combined result is an aluminium race boom close to carbon in rigidity at a fraction of the cost

The Severne Red line boom series offers variable diameter to ensure the optimum blend of rider comfort and maximum stiffness, incorporating the unique Severne dual density front lever for comfort and impact protection.
For 2010 the boom will feature a hollow tail piece, reducing the swing weight of the boom for easier handling.
RED LINE 140-1 GO - CARBON
26mm reduced diameter body with ultra skinny 22mm diameter tailpiece. This allows the reduced diameter the full length of the boom arm.
RED LINE160-210 - CARBON
26mm reduced diameter grip area with a 29mm rear boom arm and 26mm tailpiece. The increase in diameter of tailpiece compensates for the increased boom length optimising the durability of the boom.

With a diameter of only 30mm, RED is a brilliant allrounder. Combined with the brand-new iFRONT head, it delivers high rigidity and durability. An additional contribution to safety and superior comfort comes from the DOUBLE.PIN.LOCK system, which firmly locks the boom while preventing the tubes from twisting. Since each size possesses an individual bending curve, the RED series suits all sail types (flex not adjustable; RDM adapter not included).

Even as the narrowest diameter boom in the range (and possibly in existence) at 25mm, the Enigma wave has the best stiffness to weight ratio. It has been finishec with top end components:ergonomic rubberised lever, dual pin adjustor clips and low profile back end.
ENIGMA SLALOM
Tested by Bjorn Dunkerbeck, the Enigma slalom boom is light, stiff and fast. Designed for use with any serious racing set up and finished with ergonomic features such as the ruboerised lever and dual pin adjuster clips. The back end is optimized for an adjustable outhaul system. 29mm diameter.
