The Online Boating and Maritime Exhibition
Open yachts are motor-boats measuring between 15 and 30 meters long with open decks, outside piloting stations and outdoor amenities (lounge area, large cockpit, etc.). They can nonetheless be protected by a hard-top or a bimini top.
Some open yachts are designed for sport and speed, whilst others are ideal for cruising and exploration.
Open yachts are generally adapted to hot regions and warm seasons, the deck being the main living space.
Open yachts are mostly built with composite materials or aluminum.
They feature few but large cabins, and a large living room adjacent to a kitchen.
Motorization is rather powerful. Some models are designed to favor autonomy over speed, and to limit fuel consumption.
Open yachts can be used as the tenders of mega-yachts.
