The Thru-Hull SeaCam® is a color camera designed to mount thru the transom or hull of your boat, below the waterline, allowing for an exciting new view of your underwater surroundings.
The Thru-Hull SeaCam® is a wide-angle, fixed focus video camera that offers a high quality image, which can be routed to one or more displays on your boat. With a resolution of 460 horizontal TV lines and scene illumination of 0.2 Lux, this camera produces professional quality video, even at low light levels. The sapphire crystal port is one of the most durable and scratch resistant transparent materials available, ensuring a crisp, clear image.
The applications for this camera are endless. The Thru-Hull SeaCam® can be used to view the action on your line while fishing, to keep an eye on the kids while they are swimming, to inspect your propellers for damage or to view the beautiful aquarium below your boat while relaxing in the salon. The completely waterproof camera can be installed in any of the underwater light housings for steel, aluminum or fiberglass hulls. The camera is placed in the housing and fixed with a mounting kit. It has exterior focus and zoom rings from 0.16" to 0.31"/ 4.0mm to 8.0mm, it offers broadcast quality pictures are 470 color lines of resolution and is 110 A/C or 12 VDC. The underwater images can be fed to any number of monitors or plasma screens through out the boat. The camera comes with a three year warranty and all maintenance, like the underwater lights is from within the hull. The initial LBC was an all in one ROV/Crawler. Extensive testing, demonstrations and feedback have resulted in a Convertible type system. In its standard form the LBC is a fully capable MiniROV system offering all the capabilities of the LBV type systems. When conditions exceed the capability of ROV mode or more precise control is required simply attach the crawler skid and adhere to the hard surface.
This unique combination of ROV and Crawler capability makes LBC an incredibly well rounded and capable system. Consider when operating an ROV for ship hull inspections, unless conditions are ideal, the task can be challenging. Current flow can often make maintaining a stable position for accurate object identification difficult. Add turbid or black water conditions and the difficulty escalates. Additionally, once an object is located precisely identifying the object and its position on the ship hull have their own challenges.
The concept of creating a crawler that attaches to the ship hull helps to reduce and even eliminate the difficulties encountered. There are two primary inspection methods for the LBC.
ROV MODE (3D) - the LBC operates as a free flying ROV in ROV MODE without the crawler skid attached.
CRAWLER MODE (2D) - should conditions hinder the ability to maintain a stable position and accurately acquire the required video and data the LBC can quickly be fitted with the Crawler skid (less than 5 minutes). |

Burger Boat Company is pleased to announce that it has been commissioned to build a new 43 meter (140') custom motor yacht. This vessel has been designed over the past 18 months by Burger's team in conjunction with an experienced yachting family who currently own their third Burger-built boat. This project also accomplishes Burger’s planned objective to start construction of one new yacht in mid 2008, with completion expected by mid 2010.
During the second half of 2008, Burger has the availability and intends to commit to the construction of one additional new custom yacht which, depending on size, is expected to be delivered in late 2010 or early 2011. |
