The Necton 55 is an Explorer Vessel more than 17 meters long, designed and constructed for more difficult cruising situations. It is constructed entirely in steel with three decks, making it very spacious with the ample storage space that is needed for long range sailing. After his fantastic crossing of the Atlantic with his small trawler of 6,50m, the naval architect Yves Kinard from Mayrik Yacht Design signs a new drawing, that of a “Trawler Express” of 17,60m (57,7 feet). Trawler because it is conceived with comfortable installations, an interior completion and a drawing in the tradition of the American boats, but “express” because it is possible to choose a very motorized solution propelling this beautiful unit with more than thirty knots thanks to its very powerful hull with “through the waves” bulbous bow, propellers in tunnels and its two engines of 1.000 hp. However two other motorizations are considered. One not very powerful, corresponds to philosophy trawler, the other, still being studied would propose an electric complement with the most powerful version, thus authorizing great crossings. The Stentor 18 is an extremely comfortable yacht in all possible ways.
