The 50 Convertible reaches powerfully toward the distant horizon with standard twin diesel engines, attaining speeds her handsome streamlined exterior suggests. Captains and guests relish the experience beneath a standard hardtop, on a bridge organized for efficient piloting and comfort. With 5'6" of headroom and rubberized diamond-plate flooring, the 50 Convertible's sound-dampened engine room is indicative of the yacht's "hidden assets". Warmed by glossy and satin-finished cherry wood, the salon on the 50 Convertible possesses a sprawling sofa with rod storage and recliner, and a sophisticated entertainment center. The Silverton 50T-Series features as standard equipment an in-transom baitwell, all-aluminum bow and grab rail system, and Pompanette ladderback helm chairs. Optional equipment includes a center-rigger, outriggers, a teak cockpit, recessed teaser box, and a full-sized fighting chair or leaning post.
Twin MTU Series 60 (825 HP) diesels have been selected for the 50T-Series, with a renowned Donald Blount-designed hull to respond to your command. Peter Wright of Marlin Magazine said that "The 50T...was the most agile boat in simulated fish-fighting situations I have tested in quite a while."

The Ovation is one of the first production boats in the world to employ triple 500 Volvo IPS engines. Triple 600 Volvo IPS engines are available as an option. When designing the 520 Sports Coupe, our engineers had a problem. The left side of their brains wanted convenient features like an enclosed cockpit, walk-thru windshield and power sunroof. But the right side of their brains wanted luxurious touches like additional portholes below deck, a finely appointed galley and rich cherry wood interior. In the end, they came together and created a singular yacht intended to please the mind, body and soul.
