At 315 x 65 the Kona 10'5'' is a very good option for people who like to go wave sailing in all conditions. A "smooth performer" with a fairly straight outline - ensuring great stability in the surf. The step tail is adding balance and control in none planning conditions, and the aim of the concept at this "unusual size" for its category is simply to be able to do advanced wavering in any conditions.
Why...? Because we want to please every one, and the big boys will finally find a board that suit them well also in light conditions. The "Mahalo" is a fast sub planning board, with the "step tail" working at its best. It has been increased by 10 cm compared to the Kona and Kona style with a total length of 45 cm. This "oversized" machine rails upwind like nothing else, and the tucked area is pushed to the limit making the rail looking almost round.
