The Young 38 was born out of a desire to create a supremely manageable yacht in all areas of performance and ease of ownership. The project was initiated by Rod Skellet (former Australian Super 30 champion) after experiences competing in the 2002 Transpac race. Since that time YYD ltd and Rod have been developing a new design/concept that pushes forward into a new area of the yachting marketplace.
The concept for the Young 38 was to create a yacht that could fit into a 40'shipping container on its own road marine trailer complete with a 2 piece mast for boats. The yacht is very narrow with a very flat hard bilged hull shape and has a retracing/canting keel and removable ruder box. The yacht can be launched using a boat ramp or single point lift for boats system. The Young 38 is designed to be crewed by 4 people so the entire program of shipping a yacht to any location in the world including crew costs is minimal allowing the owner to compete in a variety of regattas as and offshore races at a fraction of the costs normally associated with a vessel this size.
Sailing the Young 38 will be very exciting; the hull shape is designed to plane downwind and carry its sail area upwind thanks to the canting keel. Lateral resistance is provided by dihedral wings attached to the bulb keel. The interior can be set up for weekend cruising as needed. The exterior is very sleek with teak decks flush fitting bowsprit, recessed furling drum and under deck control lines to cockpit boat winches. |

| The Ovni 365, the benjamin of the Ovni range, but also the first Ovni designed by Marc Lombard, is a true long distance aluminium lifting keel yacht. She is category A and with an exceptional ratio of waterline length to length overall she is smooth and efficient on all points of sail. |

The originality of the JNP 12 classic high-performance hull lies in its appendages. The 2.5-ton keel is partially retractable. With a 2.8-meter draft when fully down, this keel offers a righting moment and a large anti-drifting surface, both of wich guarantee excellent performance on the wind. This is a particularly important feature for cruising.
The JNP 12's beaching system is also ideal for road for boats transport. By securing it on a simple truck bed, and at a reasonable cost, the boat can be taken from one place to another for sailing purposes as its width does not require escorted transport.
When running and reaching, the JNP 12 is stable and efficient : with its relatively wide stern, long waterline and two rudder blades, the boat is designed to remain perfectly controllable and to ensure excellent averages with attractive weight/power ratios - 6.7-ton displacement for 93 m2 of sail. |

For a long time yachtsmen had to make a choice : deserted coves or navigational close-hauled; the safety of aluminum or the performance obtained from composites. Faraway cruises required a sturdy boat, fast sailing demanded lightness …
The Allures 40 now offers exacting yachtsmen the best combination : a) an aluminum hull welded by the experts of Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie whose welding processes obtain the agreement of the top super-visory bodies; b) a composite superstructure which guarantees a lighter boat and improved insulation.
With her generous sailplan, her taut lines and her 2.60m. draft (center-board fully dropped), the Allures 40 can compare with any production keeler. Elegant and performant the Allures 40 is easy to manoeuvre even with a shorthanded crew; with her you will also be able to reach the remotest beaching places with her mere 0.95m. draft (centerboard fully lifted).
