This years most exciting addition to the Crossover Collection is the Ben Wilson Pro Model surfboard. Itʼs a high performance short board designed to compliment Benʼs aggressive aerial style.
The BW Pro Model has a slightly dome deck with a single concave bottom that zeroʼs out at the tail. This allows riders to control their speed strapped or strapless.
The BW Pro Model board is set up specifically with a classic tri fin configuration which allows for precision turns in the pocket.
“Once I get a magic shape I canʼt let go of it. I am freaking out on how good this board is from 3ʼ to 8ʼ waves. I can create massive amounts of speed and still draw insane lines in all conditions.”- Slingshot Global Team Rider Ben Wilson.
This is Benʼs bread and butter daily driver anywhere in the world. Itʼs the one board that always gets packed.

The S-Quad is a purpose built board for high performance surfing. The S-Quad is a four finned epoxy board made to surf fast and hard.
The S-Quad can be ridden with or without straps, hooked in or unhooked, in surf anywhere between 2 and 15 feet. The curvy outline makes for a looser feel especially in smaller surf.
However, when the conditions deliver pumping surf and strong winds the four fins really come into their element.

For 2010 Slingshot unveils the Verve 22. Itʼs the latest quad fin in the line of WVS surfboards made to be ridden with or without straps.
The Verve 22 is a lively board for the broadest surf conditions available. The boards volume is ideal for heavier riders in light wind and excels for all riders in onshore conditions or clean surf.
The curvy outline coupled with the quad fin set up makes it turn sharp and tight in the pocket. Fun both strapped and strapless.

The Celeritas is a short “trunk” style board, with exaggerated concave and curvy tail lines. It also features a fast center rocker that blends from the center to the tail giving this board off the charts speed while maintaing perfect control.
The Celeritas is so versatile it is a blast to ride in small mushy surf but also holds it own in good medium surf.
The Celeritas was born out of a fun tri fin board shaped for Ben. It has such innovative qualities, adds to his riding and best of all...he even paddles this board too!

Plain and simple, Gaastra makes it easy for you to choose your new wave weapon. 2 Boards with very specific design criteria will cover all wave riding conditions. From mushy, medium sized waves around Europe to the big and powerful waves of Maui or South Africa, Gaastra has you covered. Waveriding in has come a long way and these two new boards follow the trend of riding the waves more like a surfer- with the drive and power generated from the wave rather than using too much power from the kite. This way you have more contact to the wave and it will give you the surf style feeling. No wonder our boards look exactly like surfboards these days. The Kite Surfboards are developed and tested in Cape Town by our international team, radical wave conditions make this a proving ground for the best boards on the water.

The 5%u20197 and 6%u20190 Thruster Waveboards make the jump from twin-tip to big wave-riding as smooth and as much fun as possible. Tuned for different conditions, the additional nose kick, lower volume and more aggressive profile of the smaller 5%u20197 help you tackle the steepest and fastest moving sets, while the more progressive shape of the 6%u20190 is ideal for less-than-ideal swell.
Squash-tail outlines and tri-fin thruster set-ups provide control for carving without trading stability at speed. A subtle bottom concave from front foot to fins balances fin drive and rail bite, maximizing edge-to-edge control. Three-piece EVA deck pads with kicked-heel sections help you to power through the turns whichever size you ride.
Seamlessly constructed with double-wrapped rails, the 5%u20197 and 6%u20190 both benefit from a wood reinforced laminate construction that provides dent-proof strength to the upper deck without adding undue weight to the board. A micro-matte surface finish that sheds water like sharkskin finishes off each board for minimal water drag and early planing.
With the proven durability of our production board designs, blended with the ride you%u2019d expect from your favorite short board shaper, the Best 5%u20197 and 6%u20190 waveboards deliver.

The Race Ltd is a high performance course racing competition board, developed in cooperation with the Race World Champion Charles Deleau that indeed smokes upwind and leaves the competition behind! With its CNC-cut G10 quad-fn setup, the Race Ltd is finely tuned for precision performance in the lightest possible breeze and has, without a doubt, the absolute best upwind performance that has ever been seen in a production kite board. The added length, width and volume offer earlier light wind planing while the added area in the nose also offers more control at high speeds. There's no doubting that wave riding can be one of the most enjoyable aspects of kitesurfing, yet not every rider has the ability or the desire to commit to riding a full directional board in the surf. The Shinn Wave bridges the gap...superior to any twin tip in wave riding, the Shinn Wave will introduce you to the world of tight, carving bottom turns and snappy off the lips, without the commitment of having to gybe on every turn.

Airush continues its legacy or wave dominance with the new Converse range. The 4-size line offers the perfect collection of performance models for riders of every weight class. The secret to the Converse shape is the smooth outline and progressive tail kick that suit the high speeds generated by the kite's power, or hollow, powerful waves.

The Wave Attack Model is a radical all-round thruster-fin design aimed at high performance surfing in small to medium size waves. It is the ideal weapon for beach breaks where quick rail to rail acceleration and snappiness off the top are key. Round and compact, this board destroys small waves with its super-tight turning radius. The relatively low entry rocker and width give you a large planing surface while a full single concave gives you plenty of carry when the kite power goes away. Imagine the tightest, flowing turns and pumping freely from rail to rail to quickly generate speed for your next bash and you can begin to picture what the WAM is all about. The WAM will please strapped and strapless riders alike and give new life to even the most average wave days.

Building on the success of last year's Kontact series, the new 2010 Kontact is back again as a no-compromise up-size board that is most suited to solid, pumping surf. Let's face it; Kiting allows you to ride with more power and speed than any other form of surfing, so why not take advantage of it? With its rounded pin-tail, gunny outline and low tail rocker the Kontact is incredibly predictable and drives hard off the bottom like no other making it perfect for the most aggressive riders who like ride with speed and power. The board of choice for team riders Sky and Dreu in most conditions, this board holds a rail in even the most extreme and choppy conditions and will never let you down in a high speed turn. Thin rails give the Kontact a lively and positive feel under your feet and the single concave throughout helps carry you through a turn and accelerate up the face. Whether you're charging big waves or using the kite to whip yourself through high speed carves, look no further than the Kontact!
"When it starts getting really windy or the surf gets over 6 feet, I'm on my Kontact. It's got such a solid feel and accelerates harder you push it. Great for strapped riding, feels nice and lively and gives me all the control I need at high speed."

With a striking new outline and added grab rails it doesn't just look the part; The FSF is the perfect board to make the most out of less-than-stellar wave conditions, light wind and flat water trickery. A great introductory board to wave riding, the FSF is easy to jibe, has a very balanced directional feel and is a terrific light wind weapon! Strapless riding is made easy with the comfortable sky-hooks or throw some foot straps on and shred to your heart's content. Who knows, maybe you don't have to travel to Hawaii to find those perfect waves afterall... “In 2010 the Freestyle Fish will be the ultimate board for both an introduction to kitesurfing on waves as well as high performance strapless surfing. I’m sure there are tons of hours of fun and challenge canned inside this board”.
