One of the key advantages that the Topper holds over any pretenders lies in the remarkable sophistication of the manufacturing process. The Topper hull is INJECTION MOULDED with incredible precision, reaching a level of uniformity quite outside the scope of any other production system - whether hand built or mass produced in GRP or rota moulded plastic.

The BYTE is a modern singlehander with characteristics that make her the ideal boat for a wide range of sailors. It is designed by Ian Bruce, better known as the father of the Laser, the man who gave the world its first out-of-the-box performance dinghy.
30 years later and building on that experience, Ian was able, with the BYTE, to answer to the requests of a market that has been looking, for many years, for a boat ideal for sailors of middle to light weight. The BYTE is a highly technical boat yet one which is easily handled by both the up and coming or the experienced lighter weight sailor. It was designed for the weight of the sailor and not for any age or gender. It is the ideal boat for sailors from 40 to 75 kg.

And what is that weight? With the advent of the extraordinary new CII rig, it's anywhere between 90 and 160 lbs with the optimum all-round, all-weather weight for racing being 120 - 145 lbs. If you’re just out sailing for fun, which is what sailing is all about, your weight really doesn’t matter at all

The successor to the Optimist …
A twin dinghy for junior helmsmen …
L'EQUIPE, the leading sports daily, and Marc LAURENT, French national sailing coach, came up with the best possible answer to the FFVoile Federation's needs with a dinghy that brings together all the qualities required for young helmsmen in the 77 to 110-pound bracket, whether twin-sailing or as main oarsman.
Marc LAURENT, 470 world champion in 1975 and selected for the Montreal Olympic Games, is responsible for the design and finishing of the EQUIPE dinghy, aided and abetted by members of the French national Flying Dutchman team. The EQUIPE is a scaled-down version of the Flying Dutchman, the formula 1 of sailing, and is aimed principally at young regatta entrants. With this in mind, the EQUIPE has two main faces: steady and simple to use for learners, but suitably sharp and speedy across the water for regattas.
The EQUIPE bears many of the hallmarks of its predecessor :
- the genny makes the oarsman position more demanding and therefore interesting,
- the double bunt for the oarsman leaves a clear space that can be quickly and easily adapted,
- the spinnaker snuffer makes handling easier and more tactically diverse.

I should start this off, for the benefit anyone who is considering the boat for racing, by assuring you that the PS2000 boat is not built and rigged to be faster than the two existing approved builder’s boats but, at the same time, neither is it slower. I am the person who started the Laser and helped draft the first set of truly one-design rules in the sport of sailing and, as the third licensed builder in North America of the Club 420, maintaining the one-design character of the boat has been our number one priority.
However, doing this has not prevented us from building what we believe to be a better constructed boat for BOTH the racing market and the institutional market.

The Laser Radial is a new Olympic class for 2008, based upon the same hull and equipment as the regular Laser. The combination of a 19% smaller sail and a shorter, more flexible mast create an excellent medium sized rig. Everything else is unchanged. The Laser Radial is raced at club, national and international levels.

The world's most popular adult racing class.
Every Laser in the world is identical. The strict one-design class rules ensure this remains true, making it the sailor that wins the race, not the boat. The Laser is a challenging boat that rewards athleticism, subtle steering and trimming techniques, as well as tactical excellence. It is a singlehanded Olympic class boat, also sailed at club, national and international levels.

The Club 420 enables young sailors to learn teamwork, trapeze and spinnaker techniques that simply can't be learned in single-handed boats. Safe for beginning sailors and quick enough to keep collegiate All-Americans interested, sailors graduating from the Optimist class will find the C420 to be manageable and a lot of fun.

The new, Julian Bethwaite designed, 29er skiff was launched worldwide in 1999 as THE exciting new Youth boat for the 21st century. It is now built in Australia, Argentina, England, South Africa and New Zealand and PS2000 builds the boat for North America, the Caribbean and Bermuda. International acceptance of the boat was assured when ISAF granted the 29er Recognized Status at the November 1999 Annual meeting.
Why another Youth boat?
At the October 1996 ISAF annual meeting, the world body of Yachting selected, after a series of trials, a totally new and exciting type of boat - the 49er - as the new Olympic Class for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. That boat, designed by Julian Bethwaite, brought skiff sailing, for generations the premier sport in Australia, to the rest of the sailing world. At that moment in time, there was no trainer for this boat and the newest ISAF World Youth boat was over 20 years old!

The 29er was introduced to Europe in 1998 and immediately took the dinghy world by storm. Impeccably built by Ovington, the 29er has turned performance sailing on its head.
Why? Because, for its size and price it is simply the fastest and most thrilling sailboat available. The 29er is a no-holds barred skiff, designed on the same sleek lines as its bigger sister, the 49er.
And like the 49er, the 29er is a fully ratified International Class with a worldwide following. Everything about the 29er is world class: From the purity and simplicity of Julian Bethwaite’s design to the high-tech hull, hand crafted for exceptional lightness and strength by Ovington - the world’s No 1 exponent of high tech, championship-winning race boats.
The 29er was quickly recognized throughout the world as the major new force in youth sailing and high performance training. With a completely fitted hull weight of only 70kgs, simple control systems and amazingly light rig loads, the 29er delivers a package that gives girl teams and lightweights of all ages equal opportunities to get to the top of the world.

The 29erXX provides an exciting new challenge to skiff sailors looking for the ultimate thrills of a powered-up rig and double trapeze.
This new design features an all-carbon mast with twin spreaders that is approximately 450mm longer than the standard 29er rig, while the main, jib and kite are about 6 square meters larger. All of these upgrades fit nicely on to the existing 29er platform and also share the same boom, pole, blades and tiller. So upgrading is simplicity itself.
The first international regatta for this new class was held in Weymouth, UK, in the summer of 2006. The event brought together 27 men’s, women’s and mixed teams from 8 countries providing valuable input to help make this a mature, well designed boat.
