The end grain core made of Balsa provides the low weight at high
compressive strength. The Spruce lamincore on either side provides good resistance to screw pull-out as well as high lengthwise stability

A light core but sturdy characteristics. The blockcore is made of Lightwood and has three long grain layers each glued together. Bulk density is less than 350 kg/cbm. If desired we can finish the core off with a particularly sturdy cross grain veneer to make the end product stable and resilient.

That is pure wood, wood of the highest quality. The natural properties of wood, reinforced by our engineering know how and Moralt's exclusive production process.
The resulting product is uncomparable, it is "engineered wood": stable, strong and yet very flexible .

The reinforced steel stabilisors along all 4 sides of the blank mean that this product is stable like no other! In independent tests the blank achieved the best possible value, "Tolerance class 4". This blank is therefore virtually guaranteed not to bow, and indeed, we offer a 10 year guarantee against it doing so. Claims against this product for bowing are a thing of the past. We are also able to supply this product with an aluminium moisture barrier as well as with a special PU Foam, which gives the blank even better insulation properties.
The Plus in the FERRO ClassicPlus: The high level of insulation! This product is a piece of quality engineering: the 68mm blank attains for example an U-value(W/m2K) of 0.96 according to EnEV! The only blank better than this is our own "Climate champion" - the FERRO Passiv.

The Sandwich boards of Moralt will always offer the safest option. Without the need for compromise, these materials can be drilled, sawed or screwed; easily processed with conventional carpentry tools.
