NDM’s mooring winches have rugged design and heavy duty split bronze bearings. The operating mechanism for brakes and clutches are designed for easy and safe manual operation, but may also be remotely operated by hydraulic cylinders. The brakes are easily adjustable.

Metso offers a wide range of mooring winches with almost unlimited line pulls and speeds. Although their primary use is aboard ship, their application for onshore or permanent installations is limitless.
The mooring winch operate as effectively at mooring a ship or barge from shore as they do from the ship, and can perform functions such as shifting, holding and positioning for loading and unloading, while at the same time compensating for variations in draft with the constant tensioning feature.
Shore installations for barge loading or unloading is a natural application for a constant tensioning feature.

FERRI salvage winches are designed and manufactured in accordance with the SOLAS regulations and the Community Directive “Maritime Equipment Directive” 2002/75/EC. Provisions and accommodation ladders winches are in accordance with ISO and DIN standards.

Constructed from aluminium, hard anodised and built to last. The robust drum house, hydraulic drive and oilbath gearbox ensure virtually silent running and hardly any maintenance.
The drum takes a single layer of rope and its length is calculated depending on the necessary working length and diameter.
A stainless steel spindle alongside the drum moves a car with a sheave at the precise speed relative to the drum and rope diameter, stowing the rope neatly on the drum. There are limit switches at each end of the spindle which stop the winch when the car reaches its limit.
Six sizes of reel winch are available, ranging from 1500kg to 18.000kg pulling force.

Lewmar's hydraulic powered winches combine the benefits of electric winches with systems integration. This allows the installation of a cost-effective multifunction hydraulic system on boats over 15m (50ft). Hydraulic winches enables short handed sailing through push button control of winches and other deck functions which can be integrated into the system.

The hydraulic system can be applied to all ANTAL winches from model W44 to W70 and also maxi W80.3.
The pressure of the system varies from 100 to 120 bars for the larger winches.
Connections are to be carried out with 3/8" pipes.
All our hydraulic winches come supplied with a chromed bronze drum.

Line speeds are calculated in absence of load conditions; these are in any case only indicative values. The effective speed will be evaluated according to the actual size of the hydraulic unit.

The boat’s hydraulic power-pack can be used to power these motorizations if it has the parameters needed for a correct performance. In order to check this possibility, you need to know the power-pack’s flow and pressure in bars.
