All capstans are available with electric or hydraulic drive. Our electric capstans can be incorporated direct into the deck construction by means of a foundation pipe piece. The foundation is open at the bottom, so that is is easy to connect the motor from below deck. Our hydraulic capstans are designed to be space-saving on the vessel and you will find our models adjusted to this.

Coastal Marine Equipment's Capstan sizes range from 6" to 36", above deck, right angle or through deck. Static bollard ratings to 300,000 lbs.
All Capstans are available in electric or hydraulic drive and can be supplied constant speed, multi-speed and variable speed. Electric drives are offered AC or DC. Hydraulic drives operate off central hydraulic system or dedicated system supplied with unit.
