To avoid clogging of grey water tanks and waste water systems a grease separator should be installed for the all grey galley water. The grease separator is specially designed for marine applications, so it will work even if the ship is rolling.
Unlike many other grease separators the ours has a proven 99.5% separation
efficiency (tested and approved by the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm), so the water is free from grease and oil and can be led directly to the grey water system or treatment plant.
The grease separators are equipped with automatic grease level alarm that alerts when it is time to empty the separator of fat. On the top of the inside there is a spray nozzle for cleaning with hot water.
