The gas detector of VETUS, model GDI000, includes/understands a system of gas detection of various types, such as propane, butane, methane, hydrogen and from now on the carbon monoxide. The apparatus is provided with a sensor, which can detect all gases mentioned above (including cylinder gases). A second sensor can be provided in option for the gas detection in another part.
The gas detector puts in function using the button "power". The pushbutton "valve" is used to possibly actuate a valve which controls the gas flow in the system. If this valve is open (or non-existent), the gas detection is permanent. If this valve is closed detection makes intermittently. If the gas detector detects a too high concentration of gas and/or CO, a sound alarm starts and a red LED ignites in the control panel. To press the button "transfers" to cut sound alarm. The gas detector is provided with three exits: to actuate a blower of extraction, a second to close the valve of the gas system mentioned above; they are actuated automatically in the event of alarm, in order to ensure an additional safety. The third exit can be connected with a horn or with another system of alarm the blower can be actuated with the hand, by pressing the button "fan". If the tension of the battery is too weak, a sound alarm and a LED flickering on the operation panel start. The sensors can be tested using the button "test". This action also tests the three exits for blower, valve of gas and external alarm.

Refrigerant Gas Leak Detection
MM2000® is an intelligent addressable gas detection system designed to provide refrigerant gas detection on ships under MARPOL Annex VI Regulation 12-Ozone Depleting Substances, 5.5 Leak Monitoring Systems.
Refrigerant gases are monitored continuously by fixed gas sensors installed in the vicinity of refrigeration and air conditioning machinery such as compressor room refrigerant leak detection. Class societies advocate the use of fixed leak detection systems for environmental protection (e.g. Lloyds EP Notation) The MM2000® system operates on a single 4-core cable having the capacity to monitor from 1 to 32 addressable sensors.
The control system provides local indication of the measured parameters and alarm conditions together with relay contacts to shut down air conditioning or refrigeration plants as necessary.
- TYPE APPROVED
- LOOP SENSOR CABLE FOR LOW COST INSTALLATION
- NO MOVING PARTS
- CONTINUOUS MONITORING OF ALL LOCATIONS

Consilium offers the world’s only true continuous measuring NOX, SO2 and CO2 analysing equipment for marine applications.
Salwico NOx & SO2 Analyzing System
The Salwico Emission Monitoring System is the world’s only true continuous measuring NOx, SO2 and CO2 analysing equipment for marine applications. The system, fully type approved by Lloyds Register (certificate number 07/00043), measures emissions of Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) and the greenhouse gas CO2 from the engine exhaust of marine diesel engines.
Salwico NOx & SO2 Analyzing System is a continuous measuring and analysing equipment for marine applications. Unlike other competitors non-compliant solutions based on electrochemical sensor technology our analyzing technology is based on the regulatory chemiluminescent principle as stated in the “Marpol Annex VI NOx Technical Code”

Accommodation Air Conditioning Inlet Gas Detection
The new fifth edition of ISGOTT now identifies the advantage of fitting flammable gas detection at accommodation air conditioning inlet. MM2000® is an intelligent addressable gas detection system that is ideally suited to this duty with duct mounted flammable gas detectors simply mounted on the inlet and the control panel located in the cargo control room (CCR).
The addressable sensors are installed on a single four-core loop cable that saves installation costs when multiple inlets are to be monitored, for monitoring general accommodation areas and hydrogen sulphide / hydrocarbon gas detection in the cargo pump room.
In total, the system can monitor 32 individual gas detectors meaning most applications can be serviced by one compact MM2000® control panel.

Ballast Tank Gas Detection & Void Space Gas Detection System
MM5001® is a major advancement in marine gas detector technology for monitoring ballast tank gas detection and void space gas detection onboard ships. The system comprises of a central control cabinet with a touch screen panel to display information and alarm status. Within the cabinet is the main PLC controller, analysing equipment plus a pre-sampling circuit as standard. A calibration free, high performance infrared sensor provides the ultimate in reliable flammable gas analysis.
The PLC is extremely reliable with an MTBF of 20 years plus. The gas analyser does not require re-calibration and the pre-purge significantly reduces sampling cycle times.
MM5001® is fully compliant with IACS UR F43, Exxon MOBIL MESC 2002 - Term charter, Chapter 8 & EMSA regulations for double hulled tankers.
- CALIBRATION FREE, HIGH PERFORMANCE IR SENSORS
- FULLY FLEXIBLE PLC CONTROLLER
- PROGRAMMABLE OPERATION DURING BALLASTING
- INTEGRATED SYSTEM FOR BOTH GAS SAMPLING & FIXED POINT SENSORS

In developing the Salwico GS3000 we have used the experiences and hardware from our proven and trusted fire detection system, the Salwico CS3000 and adapted these to gas detection requirements found in offshore applications, onboard LNG carriers and other demanding installations.
Un-rivalled still today the Salwico GS3000 is by far the most dependable loop-configured analogue addressable gas detection system in the world and it offers all the features and functions of the larger Fire Detection System and then we added some more to cover for the gas detection needs specifically.

Autronica Fire and Security has developed the world's first interactive-addressable system for integrated fire and gas detection: AutroSafe Integrated Fire and Gas Detection System (IFG), the only integrated fire and gas detection system that is approved according to IEC 61508 Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL2).
AutroSafe IFG has been developed in close collaboration with the petrochemical, oil and gas industry. AutroSafe IFG is designed to comply with present and future standards, including EN 54, and is approved by many international standards organizations
