The BioRig is designed to make the most of the rower's output, has been tested and raced successfully and is undergoing further development.
Jakob Kaschper and Christoph Lueneburger with BioRig KL-4.6 shell
The fundamental aim of the BioRig is very simple: to maximize shell speed. Traditionally, this goal has been approached with two methods: by training rowers and by optimizing equipment. While the former category focuses on increasing the athletes strength, endurance, and technique, the latter encompasses hull design (shape, weight and corresponding drag) and layout of the positions (predominantly spread, pitch, inboard and outboard, through-the-pin, and height-of-work). Other variables are, for example, oar stiffness, blade shape and the (stern versus bow) position of the coxwain.
Although the evolution of composite materials has given rise to a transition towards lighter and stiffer equipment, little fundamental change has occurred in the arena of hull design and lay-out since Karl Adam pioneered the fully-adjustable position.
All efforts to optimize rowing equipment are, in their essence, attempts to maximize the efficiency of the rowing machine, consisting of an engine (the rower), a linkage (the shell and oars), and a fluid (the water). The goal is to increase the machine output (evaluated as boat speed) for a given engine input. In other words, if a given rower can maintain a certain average speed throughout a race, and, following some changes to the rigging of the shell, increases the average speed by some measurable amount in the same conditions without becoming a better rower, the machine is necessarily more efficient.
With the exception of the astute concept of a movable rigger, the vast majority of attempts at increasing machine efficiency have been incremental and evolutionary rather than revolutionary. One of the more recent efforts culminated in the design of the (BIG) hatchet blade, which now has effectively replaced the traditional (MÇcon) spoon blade. In the course of an examination of these two designs data was collected on representative force-output curves of rowers throughout the drive. These data can be obtained and reproduced easily by mounting strain gages on the shaft of the oar and measuring the deflection (which can then be correlated to the bending moment and load), and represent the starting point for any biomechanical optimization. A typical profile is illustrated below:

Janousek JV 4-/+/x
The VEB shape is the best selling hull since it was first used in 1981. (The first production four is still in use at the original club it was supplied to on 30th April 1981!) The JV four is slightly shorter and wider than the Janousek Long Mould, which makes it comfortable and easy to sit, and lends itself to being suitable for any standard of oarsman/woman. This shape has achieved widespread success at various championships, Henley Royal Regatta and national regattas.

Stämpfli currently offers three different hull shapes in the Four/Quad range. We have taken three of the most successful hull shapes in the world and produced light, stiff racing boats that have over the last 20 years won all the major races.

Plurimedalled, the best boat for scull. Excellent for those who use their technique as strength point.
Best result of the year: 4xm Russia ( 6th place), 4xm Italy (4th place)in Munich.

Outer and inner skin kevlar/carbonfiber reinforced sandwich material with nomex honeycombs. Frames reinforced with carbonfiber. Highest quality epoxy resin, same as used in aerospace industry. Vacuum bag technique is used to guarantee total bonding between outer layers and sandwich core. The combination of aramidfiber (kevlar) and epoxy resin results in a tear and impact resistance of the outer skin, that cannot be matched with other materials for the same weight.
Following innovations have been made: Extra reinforcement of the gunwale with additional full size carbon layer and employment of full carbon foam frames.

Janousek JL 4+/-/x
Longer than the Janousek VEB 4, Janousek JL mould is also narrower. The shell performs very well as a quadruple scull but requires more attention to balance and therefore more suited to more experienced crews for sweep rowing. This mould is available in coxed and coxless forms for crews ranging from 60-110kg. The Janousek 4 /-/x Long hull has 11 hull sizes dependent upon crew weight. Each mould has a 5kg average crew weight allowance, which allows boats to be build more specifically, unlike many other boat builders.

|
Janousek JS 4x/-
Similar to the FISA Short Pair/Double, the Janousek JS 4 is recognised as the fastest shape in its category for oarsmen and women between 60kg and 80kg. This shape is extremely popular with all categories of lightweight and junior rowing. In the past this hull shape has won number World Champion and Olympic medals, and continues to dominate both international and national rowing regattas.

AFRICAN LITE RIB's:
The lightest RIB's around!
We have been sailing the waters of the world for many years. We discovered that dinghy's are usually far too heavy to handle in any comfortable way. The dinghy's that are easy to handle don't have a rigid bottom and therefore manoeuver worse, while the existing RIB's manoeuver well, but are too heavy too lift on board by manpower.
By building our RIB's in Vector-K we created RIB's that are:
Easy to handle
Easy to manoeuver
Super lightweight
We make the strongest and lightest combination of all existing dinghies. The air chambers are produced from Orca Hypalon. This product has absolutely no problems with ultra violet light.
We produce our RIB's in sizes from 2,70 meter (only 19 kgs) up to 4,00 meter.

Supertender: 4,7 Concept jet
To boat 2009 we will fill the RIB market with our B-certified Pischel Ribline 4,7 Concept jet a new niche.
Our new wolf in the sheep fur convinces with 350 kg weight with 108kW (145 HP) of pure achievement! Despite approx. 50 kn it remains well controllable for maximum speed by its thought out hull form also with top speed.
The Ribline 4,7 Concept jet covers extremely many areas of application at the same time. It is fast like a speedboat, comfortable as an offshore sport boat a RIB, agile and agil like a jet ski. The V-keel is very strongly aufgekimmt, which increases the Rauwasserkomfort and the sea-freedom of movement. The small weight is reached by the hand-made Compositrumpf and the only 80 kg heavy Innenborder.
In order to bring an optimal performance on the water, we decided for Weber 750 turbo jet engine manufactured in Mark village (Germany).
The space conditions and the Rauwasserfähigkeit do not have anything jet in common boat manufactured with one exclusive for the tender range. The 1.85 m long pad couch and the standard bath platform make a family-suited route boat for Boliden from this also.
The technical data:
Length over everything: 4.7 m
Width over everything: 2.35 m
Weight depending upon equipment inclusive machine: starting from 350 kg
Maximum speed with optimal conditions: 50 kn

The 160' aluminum-hulled yacht, GALLANT LADY, has a 6'10" draft that permits close-in intra-coastal cruising and extraordinary beach access for a large yacht.
The 161' Gallant Lady with an aluminum hull and composite superstructure defines causal elegance. In order to accommodate the Owner's requests for close-in intra-coastal cruising she draws a mere 6'10" draft and is capable of extraordinary beach access for a yacht of this size.
Long window openings ending in ovals create a distinctive profile and dramatic interior features. Exquisite control of proportion and line maintains harmony between the four decks. What truly distinguishes Gallant Lady, however, is the inspired flow and relationship of space. A formal salon opens to one of gracious informality; a single staircase transports guests from the grandeur of the foyer to the intimacy of the sundeck lounge. The yacht's traffic flow is unique. Two separate stair towers each connect three decks, as does the interior crew stairs. Outside, discontinuous stairways link the exterior spaces from stern to crow's nest, moving traffic both fore and aft.
