The new NX series represents the latest step forward for clean, low viscosity media in high pressure applications. It delivers temperature approaches down to 1°F with fewer plates and a single pass design. It is used primarily in HVAC applications and performs well in other applications with the same conditions.
|
|
|
The NC Series gasketed plate heat exchanger is independently certified as part of the AHRI400 certification program by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). This product series is for use with clean, low viscosity media in high pressure HVAC applications, and where close temperature approach (1°F) is desired

Circulating pumps are used in all for forced circulation heating systems.
GESAB are providing various makes and types of pumps for different heating purposes.
The flow amount is adapted to the capacity of heaters.
|
|
General
Electrically heating elements are arranged centrically in a pipe system, and heated oil will flow parallel. The produced heat of heating elements will be transmitted t hot oil and transmitted to hot oil and transferred to heat consumers.
Heating and cooling as required
It is frequently necessary to require a cooling time after a heating period in a discontinuous process. The combination of electric hot oil heater and counter flow heat exchanger makes this possible.

General
GESAB-HTI Exhaust Gas Heaters, heated by waste gases from the vessels's main engine, is commoly used in satisfying the heat demand of the vessel's bunker heating, accommodation, calorifier water and pre-heaters during the voyage. It may also be sufficient to heat the cargo, subject to heat requirement.

Cargo Heaters (Deck Heaters):
Cargo heater (deck heater), tube type for installation on open deck or in closed deck trunks.
Heating media: Thermal oil, Hot-water or Steam
Capacity range: 100 - 2000 kW
Material: Stainless steel AISI 316 L (Standard). Other
material can be optional on request.
Advantages:
Simple installation compare to heating coils.
Smooth and plane cargo tanks without obstacles and cleaning shadows.
Easy cleaning of deck heater due to simple dismantling manoeuvres.

|
Heating Coils
Thermal Oil Heating Systems have been installed in a large number of chemical tankers, ferries and cargo carriers during the last years. Thermal oil fed directly to various types of heating coils is used in most of the chemical tankers build now days.
To maximize heating efficiency both horizontal and vertical heating coils can be used in cargo heating. The pipe materials are stainless steel or carbon steel. The GESAB Heating Coil Calculation computer based program, HCC, minimizes costs of pipe work and material.
|
|
The principle:
GESAB - HTI Thermal Oil Heaters are built according to DIN 4754 and the classification Societies´ rules for pressure vessels. The forced circulation heaters of vertical or horizontal design are available of outputs of 200-10000kW. Thermal Oil Heaters, with at heating capacity of 800 kW and upward, can use heavy fuel oil burners (viscosity to 700 cSt at 50 C). On request, we can supply burners with a rotating cups and heaters designed for combustion of waste oil and sludge. Generated heat, by oil or gas flame will be transferred to the thermal oil system through bent pipes forming cylinders inside the heater. Within the inner cylinder - the combustion chamber - the heat is transferred by radiation and in the outer cylinder by convection.

The data link communication covering identity, position, destination and other required static, voyage-related and dynamic data gives all vessels in an area increased situational awareness and improves safety at sea for the individual ship. Positive identification and positioning of all ships in the vicinity reduce the unnecessary ship on my port bow calls. Less information overload greatly enhances safety at sea.
Features
The SOTDMA technology used in the AIS transponder transmits and receives information on all vessels within VHF coverage. This information includes position, identity, course over ground, heading, and rate of turn as well as navigational status and the destination of the ship. The information received from, and provided to, the ships is easily plotted on any ARPA radar or electronic chart system. This gives the Officer of the Watch a situational awareness that could never be achieved prior to AIS. Information on draught, type of cargo and destination could also be used to make decisions related to manoeuvring. The screen presentation of the call signs of other ships enables a ship to make direct contact with conflicting vessels by text messaging or voice communication. Maximum awareness is always accomplished.

The VDL 6000 Inland AIS System is based on our well proven AIS
Class A system and developed in accordance with the latest inland
AIS standard requirements. The Inland system is type approved by
Fachstelle der WSV für Verkehrstechniken FVT.
The data link communication covers standard AIS messages such
as identity, position, destination and other required static, voyagerelated
and dynamic data as well as blue sign messages for inland
navigation for increased situational awareness and improved safety
for the individual ship.
Features
The SOTDMA technology used in the AIS transponder transmits
and receives information on all vessels within VHF coverage.
This information includes position, identity, course over ground,
heading, and rate of turn as well as navigational status and the
destination of the ship.
The VDL 6000 broadcasts Inland blue sign status messages for
upstream or downstream navigation; ships passing on starboard
side, hazardous cargo carriage (Blue Cones); and estimated time of
arrival at locks, bridges and terminals.
Lock management, information on draught, type of cargo and destination
is vital for decision making and safe manoevering along
the inland waterways.
The information received from, and provided to, the ships is easily
plotted on any ARPA radar or electronic chart system. This gives
the Officer of the Watch a situational awareness and an constant
information update that could never be achieved prior to AIS.
