Floats can be manufactured of polyethylene or concrete. Concrete floats provide a more stable platform while the plastic floats have a higher buoyancy to weight factor. Both types are designed for maximum life and environmental safety.

Quality begins with the best raw materials - virgin LLPDE resin for the outer shell and virgin EPS foam for the low water absorbing fill -and continues with time-tested manufacturing processes backed by rigid quality standards and a goal of exceeding industry standard tests. The result is the highest quality Premier float that delivers a 40 year life expectancy and the best ROI for your flotation investment.
The structural integrity and performance of flotation is compromised when resins or foam containing regrind materials or any off-spec materials are used. A float made with these less expensive materials often fails basic structural integrity tests such as the ASTM D1998-04 Falling Dart Test and the 7-Day Hunt Water Absorption Test.

Fibre Concrete Floats
This famous float comprises expanded polystyrene protected by glass reinforced concrete - it is tough, durable and virtually maintenance free.

In some circumstances, additional ballast may be required to assist in the performance of the structure, and to fulfill this we suggest the use of sand bags that travel the full internal length of the float unit rather than uncontrollable sloshing water. It should be noted that momentum will increase significantly should the structure be able to move and the appropriate anchoring to match such condition should be chosen.

Guaranteed insubmersible, rotomoulés floats ROTAX are manufactured out of polyethylene average density, offering a high impact resistance and various marine aggressions (sea water, aggressions vegetable, hydrocarbons, etc).
Their foaming out of expanded polystyrene make them entirely which can be recycled.
Various dimensions, an identical attachment unit, make it possible to answer all the uses, with the same simplicity of implementation, on support wood, metal or composite: in addition to the traditional means of fixing (lights for fixing by screw), a longitudinal lip thickness 30mm, allows a fast assembly on tracks.
A permanent stock on all the references guarantees reactivity and fast delivery to you.

Not only hoses but also cables, ropes and umbilicals need to be lightened under water. Resinex gives its customers a complete range of floats with reduced diameters. The key success factor of this activity is tightening. The floats cannot slip on the cable when assembled. Resinex has developed particular polyurethane clamps and reducers to maximize the grip on the cable surface. Particular studies have been carried on to give our products the best mix between loads, weight of materials and tightening forces.
Now we can supply different solutions to garantee the higher tightening force together with the usual high resistance to pressure until a 7.000 meter depth.

Resinex has developed Deep Water Floats for Single Point Mooring Systems since the early seventies. Previously manufactured
in PVC then developed using roto-moulded linear polye-thylene, they operate on Calm buoys (Lazy-S or Chinese Lan-tern configurations) or SALM buoys and now also on FPSO and FSO Systems. Resinex products
always comply with OCIMF 1991 specifications.

The exceptional antiabrasion properties of the Resinex polyurethane have permitted to develop a sleeve for protection of tow cables, which proves to be an efficient and complete solution to that type of problem. Easy to fit: supplied in two halves to be joined together by means of inox steel screws fitting in special bolts completely embedded and cemented into the polyurethane. It can be suppered in a mono-piere shape. Light-weight: the antiabrasion properties of the RESITHANE make for minimum volume and weight of the sleeves involved.

HEAVY FLOAT-MEGA FLOAT is a continuous floating pontoon with high dead load. High comfort and great stability make it suitable to important marinas and demanding customers. The pontoon consists of a sturdy supporting framework (UPN 220 main beams) made of electrowelded hot-dip galvanised steel section bars. It is supported by a one-piece concrete float with a high density polystyrene foam core.
