STEM 6.30 is a multivalent self-righting means designed for emergency and fire rescue. Every detail has been studied to carry out rescue operations in the best conditions, even in difficult situations. Stretcher loading operations from the water have been given great importance and so has the layout of the pilot and patient area.
Stretcher loading: is made easier by a ramp at the stern, which lowers the loading level to the waterline.
Patient's treatment area: It is designed so that the patient, in the up position, can be reached by the doctor at 360°. It is equipped with or set for an oxygen therapy system, lung ventilator, cardiograph and defibrillator.
Console: the pilot governs the boat with a hydraulic steering system and a two lever command. All apparatuses related to the function of the boat and its rescue service can be monitored.
Inflatable self-righting apparatus (optional): In alternative to the integrated system the Stem Jet 6.30 can be equipped with a self-righting system which takes up little space. In case of capsizing this apparatus is manually operated by a handle found on the stern. A light alloy cylinder full of nitrogen inflates the sack found above the roll-bar.

The M2's hydraulically driven fire system can be configured to achieve pumping over 1000 GPM without sacrificing maneuverability during fire-fighting operations.

Owned and operated by Crescent Towing of New Orleans, Louisiana, Bulldog provides ship-assist and escort services for LNG tankers at the Elba Island LNG re-gasification terminal in Savannah, Georgia.
