MD170 Barracuda is a true naturally aspirated diesel engine and with it’s 6.5 litres and 170hp the engine will take you twice around the world and back without hesitating. At Yanmar, we make our engines easily accessible. A double oil dipstick on port and starboard side is standard. The 6LY3 also has replaceable dry cylinder liners, which means low cost engine overhauls. The buil-in fuel-priming pump also improves airbleeding and the oil filter with built-in oil drain reservoir on top makes it more easily accessible.
