The FS-3DT is one of FarSounder's main products for surface ship navigation and obstacle avoidance which uses Dual Transmission™ technology. Like the FS-3, it provides a 90° field-of-view depth map with a single ping. However, the FS-3DT also includes a narrow beam 1/4 mile range mode. This Dual Transmission™ design can be configured to automatically switch between the standard 90° ping and the long range narrow beam ping

The FS-3ER is FarSounder's latest product introduction for longer range surface ship navigation and obstacle avoidance which uses Dual Transmission™ technology. Like the FS-3DT, it provides a 90° field-of-view depth map with a single ping. However, the FS-3ER also includes a narrow beam 800m – 1,00m range mode. This Dual Transmission™ design can be configured to automatically switch between the standard 90° ping and the long range narrow beam ping.

The FS-3DT Bistatic has been introduced after careful consultation with industry, to meet the needs of certain vessel types that wish to take advantage of the FS-3DT's superior performance. By mounting the transmitter and receiver in separate modules has allowed the form factor to be significantly reduced, together with a more streamlined styling.

The FS-3 DT is a new product which uses Dual Transmission™ technology. It provides a 90 degree field-of view depth map with a single ping. However, the FS-3 DT also includes a narrow beam 1/4 range mode.
This Dual Transmission™ design can be configured to automatically switch between the standard 90° ping and the long range narrow beam ping. The system includes a 2U rackmount power module and a stream-lined sonar head with Dual Transmission™ capabilities. The user interface is SonarSoft™ software which is a Windows XP software package that is capable of networking a single sonar head with up to 4 user interface
stations. The FS-3 DT operates at 60 kHz and has an accuracy of about a 1.6 degrees. The FS-3 DT is capable of generating three dimentional images with a single ping even in shallow water.
It can be used for obstacle avoidance and navigation to help mariners avoid hitting shipping containers, rocks, and whales. No moving parts are used in the FS-3 DT system. There is no need to wait for the system to scan in various directions to build the image. The technology is capable of scanning every angle simultaneously.

The FS-3 is FarSounder's base product and today is used as the starting point for special projects such as diver detection and localization and AUV/ROVs. Until the introduction of the FS-3DT the FS-3 was the original 3D Forward Looking Sonar designed as a surface ship navigation device capable of detecting whales, shipping containers, and other in-water obstacles. Unlike other Forward Looking Sonar products, the FS-3 is capable of generating a 3-dimensional depth map over its entire field-of-view with a single ping. This system is not only capable of indicating how far away targets are, but also at what range and how deep the target is located.

WASSP is a unique combination of multibeam sonar and PC processing power designed to provide Operators with unparalleled information about the Marine environment. WASSP illuminates a 120° swath port-starboard across the Seafloor. WASSP then receives 112 dynamic beams, each containing detections from water column and seafloor.
WASSP then generates fish school, seafloor object, seafloor bathymetric profiles and changes in seafloor hardness information from 112 beams.
WASSP will enable you to find and position:
- reefs & wrecks
- fish schools
- seafloor hardness changes
- foreign objects in the water column or on the seafloor.

The EM 710 multibeam echosounder is a high to very high resolution seabed mapping system capable of meeting all relevant survey standards. The system configuration can be tailored to the user's requirement, allowing for choice of beam widths as well as transmission modes. The minimum survey depth is from less than 3 meters below the transducers, and the maximum depth is approximately 2000 meters, somewhat dependant upon array size. Across track coverage (swath width) is up to 5.5 times water depth, to a maximum survey depth more than 2000 meters.

The ProViewer P450E-15 is a forward looking sonar that generates many narrow beams on each transmission. This allows the sonar to create a stream of crisp, rapidly updating images of the bottom while the boat is moving or at rest. These images provide a realistic view of submerged objects, shipwrecks, fish, divers, and bottom features, even in very shallow water.
At 450KHz, the P450E-15 is the perfect solution for medium range target detection, tracking, and navigation in underwater environments. Attached to the VideoRay the ProViewer sonar provides high quality images at up to 10 frames per second. Field of View: 45° Max Range: 450 Ft USB Inteface Power: 15 Watt @ 9-36 V DC Depth Rating: 1000 Ft.

The Simrad FS20 provides a unique real-time trawl imaging system for specific types of fishery. This is the ultimate third wire vertical and horizontal trawl monitoring system. By means of the Simrad FS20 you can obtain real-time images from the trawl sonar heads, as well as data from trawl mounted sensors, up to the bridge. This sonar maximizes the quality of the catch and reduces the sea time.

The Sonar 5 post-processing software is specifically designed to identify and count fish tracks. Sonar 5 can automatically track fish and can e.g. provide information on numbers of fish, swimming speed and direction and fish size distribution over the last 24 hours.
The figure below illustrates the cross section of the acoustic beam with a detected fish track.
