Atomic Aquatics introduced the worlds first titanium diving regulators in January of 1997. Titanium is lightweight, strong as steel and immune to seawater corrosion. It is essential the correct air pressure from your first stage is maintained and that your regulator is in good condition. The Status internal micro-electronic computer contimually assesses this vital air pressure and the condition of your equipment utilising state-of-the-art electronics and will actually inform divers if there is something wrong. It also monitors both usage and time visibly informing you when your regulator is due for service. Our first stages represent the cutting edge of design. We have overcome complex engineering constraints and produced equipment that achieves top performance and yet remains uncomplicated, guaranteeing greater reliability and lower cost maintenance and service. The first stage - the powerhouse of your regulator - reduces the high pressure air stored in your cylinder to a controllable intermediate pressure of 9.0 - 10.0 bar. The air then flows along the medium pressure hose to the second stage (demand stage).

As they leave the factory standard Apeks regulators are suitable for use with oxygen enriched gases ( i.e. Nitrox etc.) providing the oxygen content does NOT EXCEED 40%*. |
