Rondal's carbon fibre hatches reflect the know-how accumulated over many years of hatch building in aluminium and stainless steel. The materials used are carbon fibre prepreg and PVC foam.
Hatches up to 1000 x 1000 mm are cured in an autoclave at maximum 120 °C and 3 bar pressure. Larger hatches are cured in a separate cabin under full vacuum.
The mould set-up and the production method have been carefully chosen to ensure flexibility and high quality. As the gutter and moving part are made in one piece, almost any shape or size hatch can be built, deck camber incorporated or a (insulated) glass or perspex panel fitted. The hatch can be covered with teak or have a teak surround around the glass/perspex. |

Stockdorf/Munich. – For perfect adaptation to a boat’s design, Webasto, the leading supplier for comfort solutions on the move, has further developed its Marine sliding roof range with a flush-integrated version of its Hollandia Marine SR1.
“The Hollandia Marine SR 1 roof differentiates itself from other roofs on the market due to its high quality and great flexibility concerning size, curvature and material”, says Martin de Waal, Director Product Services of Webasto Product International NL. “The Hollandia Marine SR1 was especially designed for the extreme marine conditions such as salt and sand impacts. And it is the only true water tight roof on the market, so there is no need for a drainage system. However, we also got the requests for a flush-integrated version that allows a bigger flexibility in the design of the boat. Now our customers have the choice.”
The flush integration provides the opportunity to bring the deck at the same level as the sliding panel. Furthermore, the rear rails are located completely to the side of the roof. Last but not least, with the flush-integration, Webasto offers a smooth automotive style mechanism.
Webasto also offers completely customised roof projects, which are called Marine Engineering Services. A newly developed brochure gives interested shipyards and naval architects an insight on what is possible to do in the cooperation with the supplier Webasto. |

Stainless steel hatches "INOX LINE" by Nemo Industries
Waterproof, endurance, functionality and elegance
Made of austenitic stainless steel, with a slim-line aerodynamic profile, just 19 mm higher than the cover, Nemo hatches combine aesthetic elegance with practicality of use and excellent durability:
-The welding carried out with a TIG computerized system, degreased, pickled and passivated to guarantee shine and to protect the metal cover.
-Polishing carried out by a controlled-robot so that the crystalline structure remains unaltered.
-The seals made of closed-cell thermoplastic material, they guarantee waterproofing and endurance.
-The locking handles allow the hatch to be blocked even in an intermediary position to change air. They are fitted with safety catches on the inside (in AISI stainless steel 316L) to keep out unwanted visitors.
-Beside locking handles it is possible to ask for the optional visual alarm and the outside/inside lock with key
-It is possible also to have as optional ABS ivory colored internal frame, removable mosquito-nets and darkening panels, both done in ABS too.
