New for 2009, the J/97 is the first J in over two decades under 32’ to combine headroom and family cruising accommodations in a high performance, easily driven hull. With the handling ease of an asymmetric spinnaker and non-overlapping headsails, the J/97 promises to be J Boats’ most versatile design yet under 35’ to fit the needs of today’s sailing families, both young and old alike.
The key to creating a versatile sailboat is staying focused on the quality of the sailing experience, a trait shared by all J designs. Boats that are easily driven, easily handled, and genuinely fun to sail provide greater long-term “sailing value” to their owners than designs driven by the latest rating rule or designs that are over-compromised to meet the latest styling trends. Form usually follows function in good sailboat design, and the J/97 is no exception.
The cockpit features full length seats with back rests, tiller steering, and a unique, partially open transom that incorporates life-raft storage. All sailing controls are within reach of the helmsperson to make the boat very easy to manage. A retractable bow sprit with masthead asymmetric spinnaker allows great all-around performance without the need for numerous skilled crew. The low VCG keel provides exceptional upwind stability while being cruising friendly with swept back leading edge and moderate draft.

The "J/97" is the first J in over two decades under 32' to combine 6' headroom and family cruising accommodations in a high performance, easily driven hull. With the handling ease of an asymmetric spinnaker and non-overlapping headsails, the J/97 promises to be J Boats' most versatile design yet under 35' to fit the needs of today's sailing families, both young and old alike.
The key to creating a versatile sailboat is staying focused on the quality of the sailing experience, a trait shared by all J designs. Boats that are easily driven, easily handled, and genuinely fun to sail provide greater long-term "sailing value" to their owners than designs driven by the latest rating rule (remember....rules change) or designs that are over-compromised to meet the latest styling trends. Form usually follows function in good sailboat design, and the J/97 is no exception.
At first glance, the J/97 bears a family resemblance to the J/109 and J/122, two highly successful collaborations between the J Boats design team and J Europe of Les Sables D'Olonne, France. Like its larger siblings, the J/97 is all about delivering a fun and satisfying sailing experience, whether daysailing, single-handing, cruising or racing.
The cockpit features full length seats with back rests, tiller steering, and a unique, partially open transom that incorporates life-raft storage. All the key controls are within reach of the helmsperson. A retractable bow sprit with masthead asymmetric spinnaker allows great all-around performance without the need for numerous skilled crew. The low VCG keel provides exceptional upwind stability while being cruising friendly with a swept back leading edge (to avoid snagging buoys) and moderate draft.
The interior layout is laid out for one or two couple cruising and includes a spacious main cabin with two settees, galley, forward-facing navigation station; plus an enclosed aft head, V-berth, and aft owner's cabin. Cruising stowage includes a large "garage" aft of the head (accessed through the cockpit seat locker).

Conceived by Daniel Andrieu, the Sun Fast 3200 features an original, innovative design concept, to which it owes its tremendous commercial success in France and in many other European countries, as well.
- Original, because the Sun Fast 3200 benefits from infusion technology, for a lightness that places it squarely in the category of offshore racers, as well as comfortable interior design features that are not available on other race boats of this size.
- Innovative, because the Sun Fast 3200 is the synthesis of the one-design intended for races of equal legs in real time and the sailboat designed for fleet racing under the IRC rating system.

Built tough for Australian conditions, the Sydney 36CR is quick on its feet, a snap to sail, and very seaworthy, writes David Lockwood
There were as many as 100 jockeys joking and jostling aboard the decks of 23 yachts in the mounting yard of Middle Harbour Yacht Club. The mid-week, non-spinnaker yacht race is a cosy institution staged every Wednesday of the year, attracting up to 40 boats in peak season and rarely less than 20, even in winter.

The designer of the Starlight 35 Mk2 , Stephen Jones, has achieved an enviable reputation for his exceptional vision in hull form which has produced many of the most successful racing yachts in the UK in recent years. In the Starlight 35 Mk2, Stephen has provided a fast hull and easily manageable sail plan, combined with an accommodation layout which combines space and comfort with safety and seaworthiness. She was chosen by the judges in the Yachting World Rally as the best yacht in her size range.
The Starlight 35 Mk2 enjoys exceptional qualities of thermal and acoustic insulation achieved by a building process which incorporates an inner and outer moulding, enclosing a foam core. This provides a hull which is quieter, warmer and has a noticeable lack of condensation compared with conventionally constructed yachts. The ambience achieved in the cabins from this construction method is therefore exceptional.
It is this attention to detail that makes the Starlight 35 Mk2 a thoroughly sea going vessel which offers strength and longevity.

At the nautics trade fair in Düsseldorf the Salona 37 was declared European ship of the year in the category of sailers till 12m in 2007 and also ship of the year 2007 according to the choice of the magazine Sailing World in the category Cruiser/Racer.
The Salona 37 adheres to the idea of recognisable forerunners. The board with its big cockpit, a removable stern thwart and an anchoring system provided with high-quality board equipment allows excellent pleasure in sailing. There are three different interior designs which offer the possibility of choosing among specific needs. An optimized strutcture of the ship allows maximal firmness and minimal weight at the same time. In other words, all stresses and strains of the keel and the steel ropes are directly taken over by the inox structure which is integrated in the ship's bottom and sides. Such a concept allows excellent sailing performances together with high comfort and the functionality of the interior.

Sleek and contemporary in design the 39 Cruiser Racer will impress; the deck and interior are spacious and sumptuous in feel and incorporates proven racing elements to ensure the yacht handles perfectly in all conditions. Some of the added refinements include under deck sailing controls, generously sized hull windows that provide an abundance of light and ventilation in the main saloon, a hideaway teak table that quickly transforms the cockpit into an elegant al fresco dining area, comfortable oversized cushions, Corian® bench-tops, ample storage space, accommodation for six adults and a modern, commercial style galley. The yacht can be further customised for short handed sailing with motorised winches, furlers, autopilots and sail handling controls.
On the race course, she is not shy either and recently blitzed the field with five consecutive handicap wins in her inaugural regatta to claim the Boss Hog Trophy in the IRC Premier Cruising Class at Hogs Breath Race Week held at Airlie Beach in 2004. Considering the Sydney 39CR was the smallest in the class, this victory was a remarkable achievement.

It's a boat that perfectly combines the fast-cruiser philosophy, matching a pure racer's hull lines and aggressive appendices to the comfort and refined interiors comparable to those of luxury yachts.
This is possible because RIMAR has successfully united traditional craftsman construction with innovation in materials and ideas.

Tom Morris and Chuck Paine are proud to announce the launching of their racing/cruising yacht FIREFLY for a highly experienced East Coast yachtsman. The combination of three world leaders in the yacht building field along with a demanding and financially capable patron has made possible one of the finest sailing yachts to be built in many years. FIREFLY was launched in late July, 2000 at Bass Harbor Maine yard. She is intended as a fast yet extremely durable IMS and PHRF racing yacht usable also for long distance cruising. Her owner made her racing debut in the Down East Race Week series, in which he finished first in class and also in fleet, and to campaign her at Cowes Week in 2001.
Cruising oriented compromises include the modest draft of approximately seven feet or less, a spacious raised pilothouse for increased tankage beneath the raised sole and a wonderful view of the surroundings through large windows. A complete and indeed luxurious interior is fitted, including two fully enclosed heads - both with showers, fully appointed galley with refrigeration and corian and marble countertops, microwave and convection ovens, and far more stowage compartments than one finds aboard today%u2019s racers and racer/cruisers. As on our previous design REINDEER, the lovely picture windows of the pilothouse sides are bent at about mid height. This crease, besides being aesthetically appealing, also has the practical effect of making the creased windows significantly more than flat panes would have been!
