The vessel delivered in summer 2008 from STX Europe shipyard in Helsinki is a sister ship to MS Galaxy delivered from Rauma on 18 April 2006. The 212 metres long and 29 m wide vessel is one of the biggest and fastest cruise ferries in the Baltic Sea, having capacity for 2,800 passengers and with a speed of 24.5 knots. The guiding principle in designing the vessel has been paying attention to the comfort and luxury of present-day passengers. There is maximal use of high-tech solutions onboard. 927 cabins, several restaurants and places to entertain of various style and class as well as a remarkable conference centre with over 450 seats make the ship a multi functional sea-based hotel with excellent ambience.

DSME has acquired advanced technology for building sophisticated passenger car ferries, based on its past experience of building three 40-knot class ultra high speed ferries the "Treasure Island" with 472 passenger capacity, the "Blue Star" car ferry for a Greek owner with the capacity of 1,500 passengers and 200 cars, and a very luxurious car ferry accommodating 1,880 passengers ordered by Moby Line in Italy. All these passenger ferries have received attention for their light and solid structured designs, elegance, and outstanding interior design features. Two car ferries that were exported by DSME were selected as the world's best ships in 2000 and 2001. They once again demonstrated the excellent quality of the car ferries built by DSME

SEL-T Tender
The design of this modern tender, which can accommodate up
to 121 passengers below deck, matches that of today%u2019s cruise
ships. The unsinkable double hull features fiberglass-reinforced
polyester resin (FRP) for exceptional stability, very little
rocking and very little tilting with one-sided loading. As a result
of its compact design, it takes up less space on board to leave
maximum space for outside cabins on the vessel. Powerful
twin engines (max. 2 x 242 kW (325 h.p.)) permit excellent
maneuverability. Passengers enter the boat through two large
transparent sliding doors on the sides. The interior consists
of a single compartment with wide aisles and no steps, and it
is also possible to integrate an entryway without steps for
wheelchairs. Fassmer%u2019s proven hoisting-hook system of stainless
steel and high-strength bronze permits safe, reliable
launching. This boat is approved as a partially enclosed lifeboat
in compliance with LSA Code 4.5.
