With its unique combination of features - low weight /high strength, wide processing envelope and high temperature performance - prepreg compatible Divinycell HP is ideal for a wide range of applications in the marine, wind energy, transportation and industrial markets.
Temperature Performance
With its high processing temperature, Divinycell HP can be processed at a much higher temperature than other polymer core materials in general use, making it suitable for not only low but also medium temperature prepregs.
Its elevated temperature performance is not just beneficial to prepreg users. Its high residual strength and good dimensional stability also make it ideal for vacuum bagging, infusion and RTM (resin transfer molding). HP's elevated temperature performance also extends to the 'in service' life of the component. Divinycell HP will retain a high percentage of its mechanical properties despite long term exposure to high ambient temperatures.
Strength Performance
Divinycell HP exhibits at both ambient and elevated temperatures impressive compression and shear properties (normally the most important for a sandwich core material) that are better than other commonly used ‘elevated temperature’ core materials. The figures for shear strain show that HP has good ductility and energy absorption characteristics. Testing has shown that HP also outperforms linear cores in terms of slamming resistance.
Adhesion
Divinycell HP also excels is in adhesion. Peel tests have been performed using commonly used resin systems and prepregs with superior results to other cores used for prepregs.

SotecoFoam created FenixFoam®, the innovative expanded structural panel made of fine closed cells suitable for the transportation industry, aeronautics, marine and for all those areas that require materials with good fire reaction.
In order to achieve FenixFoam®'s special formulation, different mineral fillers have been used.
These undergo a reaction ahead of the flame front, providing substances that steer the polymer decomposition towards the formation of graphitic-refractory substances.
These hinder the fire propagation and only permit the development of low-density smoke.
FenixFoam® is tested in certified laboratories for fire reaction according to the AFNOR rules for smoke opacity and gas combustion during pyrolysis. Because of its behaviour in fire circumstances, it is classified in the F1 and M1 classes. When it is involved in a fire, the development of FenixFoam®'s low-density smoke does not prevent anyone from reaching the emergency exits. The low toxicity of the gas is also very important because it does not prevent people from escaping the fire.

Quality begins with the best raw materials - virgin LLPDE resin for the outer shell and virgin EPS foam for the low water absorbing fill -and continues with time-tested manufacturing processes backed by rigid quality standards and a goal of exceeding industry standard tests. The result is the highest quality Premier float that delivers a 40 year life expectancy and the best ROI for your flotation investment.
The structural integrity and performance of flotation is compromised when resins or foam containing regrind materials or any off-spec materials are used. A float made with these less expensive materials often fails basic structural integrity tests such as the ASTM D1998-04 Falling Dart Test and the 7-Day Hunt Water Absorption Test.

With the correct configuration of automated systems, high productivity and efficiency can be gained in the handling of containers both within container terminals and between closely located terminals. Optimised solutions for ensuring current berth productivity may promote the need for more terminal equipment such as cassettes and AGCs instead of additional cranes which are often the most expensive part of the system.
Whilst the TTS AGC system is an efficient and flexible container handling system optimising the horizontal transport between quay cranes and yard stacks, the system can also be utilised in other areas of the container terminal, for instance from the yard stack to the railhead.
In addition to the C-AGVs (container cassettes), the TTS AGC system comprises a navigation system and a traffic management system, both of which are able to
communicate with the most up-to-date TOS systems.
|
|
|
The C-AGV offers several key benefits The new vehicles have a load capacity of 61 tonnes, and can carry cassettes with double-stacked 40-foot containers or two 20-foot containers in a single tier. Major improvements to manoeuvrability have been made by incorporating individual electrically driven and steered bogie axles which enable the C-AGVs to be moved in any direction and turn through 360 degrees. This increases the versatility and flexibility of the AGV while minimising congestion at the quayside. The C-AGV can be steered conventionally or ‘crab’ diagonally, or it can move completely transversally. New cassette designs enable the C-AGV to enter and exit both transversally and longitudinally, which allows decoupling at the quayside that is the key to the system’s cargo handling efficiency.
