We fondly refer to the sailing model of the Westcoast 11'6" row boat as "The Adult Dinghy" because there's room for one large adult in the aft area between the seats and two more with a picnic basket forward of the mid-seat either side of the centerboard well. Why should kids have all the fun?
The Westcoast row boat is rigged with a standing lug sail with a 56 square foot sail. It features a teak kick-up rudder and pivoting bronze centerboard. A removable bowsprit and jib is also available.
This row boat handles and performs superbly under sail in both light and high winds. The hull shape forward produces a lift effect when gunnel down, hard on the wind. This makes it harder to drive the gunnel under and keeps the interior dry. Off the wind the Westcoast just scoots along and is a joy to be aboard.
The sailing model is also available with an optional slide seat unit which adds the ability to use the boat for getting a full body workout doing slide seat sculling.

This sprightly little sailing dinghy is a throwback to the days when a sailboat wasn't a sailboat unless it had at least two sails, no matter its size. Yet, here is the sloop rigged Tribute with modern lines, produced of contemporary materials and methods.
Its modest dimensions (13'2" length) belie its capacity for sailboat fun. This is a sailboat that was designed to be easily sailed by one person but will carry up to 3. The Tribute has a generously sized cockpit with molded in fore and aft seating. All corners and edges are rounded for maximum comfort.
The Tribute comes standard with these features:
Harken blocks and fittings
Roller furling jib
Loose footed main sail
Molded in mast well
Cockpit drain with plug
Swing-up rudder with tiller extension (hiking stick)
Rotationally molded dagger board
Molded in transom handles and bow cross hole
This boat has no CE marking

The sailing model of Tyee Spirit 14 rowboat offers a little more room than a classic Whitehall Spirit 14. It sails very comfortably
with two or three or even four adults aboard. It features an attractive standing lug rig with varnished sitka spruce spars and booms, teak blocks, and sails by UK sailmakers. A solid teak kick up rudder and and drop daggerboard are standard. A cast bronze kickup centerboard is available.. It is also a high performance single or double position traditional rowboat that carries from one to four people..
It is available with an option of an easily installed or removed sliding seat sculling unit and bronze hinged outriggers which convert it to a sliding seat sculling boat.
These boats are built to impeccable standards with lapstrake style fiberglass hull with solid teak woodwork and bronze fittings. They will handle serious usage in rough ocean conditions and are built to last generations.

This tender is the ideal companion to the modern traditional yacht such as her bigger sister, the Moondance 39. She can be 'nested' (the boat is split in half for storage on deck) to a box of 1.6m by 1.2m by 0.43m. Her overall dimensions are:
LOA: 2.7m
Beam: 1.2m
Displacement (light ship): 46kg
Cp: 0.56
Sail Area: 4.3 msq
Kg/cm Immersion: 13.8
She can be rowed, sailed or motored. Her incredible lightweight makes launching a pleasure and she is easily stowed on deck. Her load carrying capacity is surprising; three large adults plus some provisions is not a challenge to this little boat at all. The ample sail area and lightweight hull also makes her a pure joy to sail. She starts to plane in a 14 knot breeze with the lateen rig on a reach. She is similarly not shy when it comes to beating. Her lanteen rig (also called the dhow rig) shows her roots as an African boat.
