Arwen, the perfect tender!
Arwen is available ready to row we don't make marine kits for this model. Arwen is built with high quality marine plywood in 6 mm for the planking, and 12 mm for the transom and all other structural parts. All masive wood is sapele or similar tropical wood, except the thwarts which are pine. Before finishing, all wood parts receive 3 coats of epoxy, and the bottom (sole and galboards) is fiberglassed in and out. Furthermore, anti-skid is apllied inside the top epoxy coating. UV-protection is achieved through 6 coats of polyurethane marine varnish. |

The Eastport Pram: a lovely little pram whose kit makes an ideal first building project, thanks to the "Lapstitch™" patented system. A standing lug rig turns the tender into a small boat sailing dinghy for teaching your young sailors or messing about when the large boat is lying at anchor for boat.
Length: 2.36 m, beam: 1.22 m, weight: 27 kg. Sail area: 3.63 m2.
The Eastport Pram is available as a building kit or ready to row/sail. The kit contains everything needed to build the pram. You add just the paint for boat and boat varnish. Building this kit is easy, all you'll need is a bit (a lot!) of patience and neatness to build this lovely "stitch and marine glue" hull.
At last a building kit for a tender featuring solid stability, good performance under oar, a practical sailing rig and lovely lines. The Eastport Pram's deep rocker helps to minimize wetted surface and to keep the transoms from dragging. The result is a small boat that is as satisfying to row as possible in such a short waterline. Just like our Arwen, two rowing positions let you distribute the load to keep the hull flat on the water to optimize comfort and performance. |

This attractive classic is a favorite yacht tender for trawlers and sailboats because it easily carries three as a rowboat and sails very well in sailing mode. Its finish complements the finest yachts.
The Minto is fitted with a “salty” standing lug sail rig, the preferred rig for a small row boat for a variety of reasons. The large sail area possible on a low mast for boats reduces the heeling moment of the boat (tendency to tip) without sacrificing performance. This rig is fast and easy to set up. Unlike a “dipping lug” it can be tacked without lowering the yard and shifting it from one side of the mast to the other. The mast requires no stays or wires and simply lifts for boats out to stow within the boat.
When the rudder is removed a small outboard can be carried on the transom and the boat boat handles very well under power.
It’s L.O.A. is 9’1” or 2.75m and B.O.A. 50” or 1.28m and weighs 160 lbs or 73k.
These boats are built to impeccable standards featuring a lapstrake style fiberglas hull, solid teak woodwork and bronze fittings with varnished Sitka spruce mast and spars and sails by U.K. sailmakers. Many are carried on marine trawler yachts and sailboats as tenders and boat sailing dinghies. They will handle choppy boat harbour conditions are built to last generations.

For 40 years the CL16 has been depended on by sailors who needed a stable marine dinghy with the options and support to enjoy casual racing. Many of those sailors who bought their first 16 many years ago still enjoy the boat today and look back on great memories. After this much time in the boat they cannot be wrong.
However, times have changed and the ever versatile 16 surges ahead with the latest refinements in navigational technology. In 2005 the CL16 began offering available KEVLAR reinforcing and CARBON FIBRE spar upgrade packages to compliment the planning and responsive hull. You can share the smile with up to 4 adults in comfort. Even 6 aboard is not uncommon. Take the family out for a relaxing Day sail or an adrenalin pumping afternoon.
Built to last and backed by a history that proves it. The 16 is the best boat sailing dinghy to share the moments with. When will your memories begin?
