| When a direct link from the rudder to the pedestal via a rack and pinion system isn't possible, the best, most direct and strong mechanical steering system to go for is the Jefa transmission steering system. The transmission steering is based on the same principals as the rack and pinion system; the rotation of the wheel is transferred to a push pull movement via a gearbox and levers. The difference with the rack and pinion system is that the distance from the wheel to the rudder shaft can be much bigger and the routing more complex. Via torque tubes, universal joints, and bevel gearboxes, the rotating movement is transmitted to the reduction gearbox next to the rudder shaft. The reduction gearbox transfers the rotating movement into a push and pull movement on the tiller lever. As all rotating parts are running in roller bearings, and the system can be easily back driven by the rudder, the result is a steering system which can be far away from the rudder, but with the same precision and feel as a tiller steered boat. |

Perfect for both yachts and commercial vessels; the CCO (Conversion & Change Over ) manifold is a unique and patented modern approach to hydraulic full flow-up power steering. Instead of relying on complicated and troublesome mechanical follow-up devices the CCO simply converts the oil flow into an electrical signal. This signal is transferred to an SCA amplifier,
which controls the hydraulic power units. In the event of loss of electrical power the manifolds automatically reverts back to direct manual hydraulic steering. The CCO is easy to install, safe, and simple. This makes it perfect for new construction or for retrofitting existing hydraulic FFU systems. |

Constructed from the finest grades of bronze, brass and stainless steel, they are prefectly suited to the harsh marine environment and the punishment of heavy commercial use.

HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS
Our steering cylinders are in bronze and steel with stainless steel rod. The ball joint is in steel as well. The cylinder's dody is properly painted to work in a marine environment and can be in different colours on specific request. Each cylinder is supplied with brass fittings in different sizes. ACCESSORIES In the BCS products range there is a wide choice of hydraulic steering accessories, too, such as non return valves, by-passes, relief valves, steering wheels, hosing and fittings of any type and seize. For any further reference about a great number of special configurations for the most various applications our Technical Department can supply any detail about seizes and technical data. |

| The Model 7033 outboard motor steering cylinder was designed to be attached directly onto the late model outboard motor brackets. The draglink provided is used to connect the cylinder rod onto the motor tiller arm with stainless steel shoulder bolts. |

The H60, 90 and 110 are among the largest helm pumps made and provide excellent primary or backup steering for large steering systems. |

Being aware of the rudder position enhances safety and is of great help while docking or maneuvering. Designed for heavy-duty commercial use, the RFU 1300 is waterproof and shock resistant. It features a "contactfree" hall effect device that virtually eliminates the wear commonly experienced with potentiometers.
All the electronic circuitry necessary for a rudder feedback signal and a rudder angle indicator signal is contained within the RFU 1300. |

RUDDER BEARINGS AND ACCESSORIES
ACC Marine provides Accurate bearings in a self-adjusting standard sleeve type, self-adjusting roller or plain roller.
All bearings are manufactured from corrossion resistant materials and feature non-metallic rollers. Bearings and shaft seals are removeable for service and maintenance.
We supply rudder shaft accessories such as shaft seals, flanged bearings, bearing races, bearing housing tubes and tiller plugs.
We also offer a line of replacement bearings that will retrofit systems using Harken bearings. |
