The Young 57 "Earthling" was Greg Young's first catamaran design and was built as a one off project for Mr. John McGettigen (owner of Bull 9000 Matador) and the final result reflects this in that this sailboat catamaran is very unique and has many features generally not possible on a production design.
The design brief was to produce a genuine very high performance Catamaran that would be very fast on the race track for boats and provide exhilarating sailing, yet be very safe, easily handled by two people in any situation and not only be comfortable for 8 guests, but provide luxurious amenities and facilities. Not to mention this design had to not only be aesthetically beautiful, but striking from every angle. It is a beautiful sculptured design, yet its real beauty is in the extreme attention to detail and the simple appearance, which hides the very sophisticated use of high tech materials and engineering expertise.
Earthling was launched in 2000 and has since sailed many thousands of offshore miles and is currently owned by an Australian and sailing out of Brisbane. |

| An absolute breakthrough in speed whilst still maintaining the right level of comfort...The new African FastCat 555 Green Motion is built with vacuüm infusion, which stands for Kevlar and basalt fibre, Epoxy, Vacuum Infusion. This method is used to lay the hulls, deck, bulkheads and interior modules onto a dry sandwich of E-glass Texalium, Carbon, Kevlar and closed cell foam. The sandwich will sub-sequently be put under a minimum of 24 hours of vacuum. This method uses about half the resin and results in a stronger laminate which directly trans-late into a weight saving of more than 2800 kg in the African Fast Cat 555 Green Motion. Carbon fibre is applied to the hulls, boat keels, rudders, marine mast foundation and rig which gives a great deal of extra strength. Both the hull and deck are built in one piece after which the bulk-heads and interior modules are installed and the deck is bonded onto the hull. After that the whole yatch is baked at 80 degrees Celsius for 8 hours for the post curing in order to create an extreme strong construction. The Kevlar in the hulls is used as an extra barrier against impact. Carbon is also used for the rig (mast and boom) witch results in an extra saving of 335 Kg (AFC 525). |

| We plan sail boats with two hulls, able to carry weights and to have a habitable volume, but we wish that they are good sail boats, not a compromise between boat and roulotte. |
|
| Tiare is the successor of Taravana and also built of a Vacuum bagged sandwich construction made out of post cured System Three marine epoxy resins, Divinycell PVC foam core, Kevlar, Carbon and multiaxial stitched E-glass fabrics, but with more space and luxurious interiors. Because of the required higher payload capacity, we stretched her to 57ft and designed. We installed a closed sunken sailboat steering station on top for boats of the salon cabin roof, but maintained the very proven open fly bridge with all sail handling logistics included. |

The Ocean Voyager Fast 62' is a day charter sailboat catamaran built and optimized like a racing boat to reduce weight and thus support the performances under sail : a speed of 25 knots will be regularly reached.
The use of 2 of these catamarans makes it possible to organize regattas where passengers will be able to initiate themselves with the subtleties of sailing competition : these light and fast boats will attract customers in the search of sensations.
In a geographical area with a high tourism concentration the owner of 2 Ocean Voyager Fast 62' will be able to answer efficiently to different demands : for example when a cruising liner stop in a marina or if situated next to a congress centre, if you have 2 boats you will be able to reach more persons at the meantime.
Obviously these catamarans allow a more traditional use in day-charter : for example a coastal navigation punctuated by a bath in a paradisiacal place followed by a cocktail prepared by the crew at the bar located aft of the platform.
The dynamic design of the Ocean Voyager Fast
62' brings to mind the transoceanic racing multihulls and makes of this boat an ideal communication support, hulls and sails could be decorated to sponsor colours.
The commercial use of the Ocean Voyager
62', as well as for the complete range of catamarans offered by CIM Shipyard is a simple and reliable concept easy to maintain associated to a rapid return on investment. The first two Ocean Voyager Fast 62' are currently under construction at CIM Shipyard. |

The Outremer 64' Std reconciles racers and cruisers, speed and comfort, demanding sailing and comfortable life on board for boat. A figure : 10.3 knots average speed between La Grande Motte and Miami (5300 milles), during its maiden voyage !
