Some 45' catamarans are destined for chartering or hire. 8 to 10 people may indeed spend several weeks on short for boat cruises on this marine catamaran. 4 to 6 peoples live comfortably aboard for longer cruises.

2 Versions are proposed, central wheelhouse or shifted, the first offering the double advantage of 360° view, without any dead angle and above all an easy circulation towards the forward deck, on each side unlike the shifted wheelhouse. This solution offers also a better circulation towards the wardroom. However, the cockpit volume reduces and the kitchen becomes scattered on each side of the entries.

This vessel was designed for a Californian client for Sail Game Fishing for boat. Based on the previous bigger Sail Game Fishing vessels, >>Taravana and >>Tiare, this one was only 45ft in length.
Two parts of the construction were especially challenging. One was that excellent response under power, especially in reverse, was expected and the other the logistics of the fly bridge and sailboat steering station above the aft cockpit level. Because everything comes together on the fly bridge a lot of weight is situated there. This is extremely difficult to handle for boats, especially on such a small vessel. Still, we succeeded in mastering the challenges and the client delivered Telluride himself from Valdivia to California in a flawless and very pleasant trip, with excellent fishing all the way up.

| The new 45S, like its big brother the 72, has the new %u201CBeach Deck%u201D feature that provides almost 100 sq.ft. of lounging area aft of the main cockpit. The High Bridge affords the skipper an excellent view of both bows and great additional cockpit storage. Out of the ordinary? Yes, but after all who wants ordinary in their yatch? The High Bridge console also boat houses an entertainment unit and a bar to please the guests! |

For the purists that don't want to compromise with sea faring qualities, or those who really appreciate comfort, the 50' marine catamaran has the same principles as that of the 40' Light for boat: it can be produced in two beams (7.20 m, with the coachroof of the 45' catamaran, in which case for boat it is the 50' Light, and 7.8 m with a much bigger coachroof, in which case it is the Standard model), and lengthened to 55' to improve its passage making and its average speed. The OUTREMER 50' Light allows you to have a "big" boat (the living space volume corresponding to that of a 42'/44' of our competitors) for a limited budget, perfect for long cruises or navigational around the world with 4 to 6 people. Its huge cockpit is ideal for living in the tropics.
Nice award, it was voted "Boat of the Year 2000" in the USA.

A group of four Chilean business men decided to share the costs of this newly developed 50ft marine catamaran. The concept, design and structure, including finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics, were developed together with Navtec, Chile. This 50ft catamaran replaces previous designs under 50ft and is based on our experience over 20 years in the construction of high performance sail multihulls. Emphasis is on excellent performance under sail, but at the same time the vessel is capable to provide the required payload capacity to satisfy the growing demand for extra marine equipment like bigger fridges/freezers, air conditioning, entertainment systems and the resulting need for a generator for boat. Power could be provided by twin marine diesel engines up to 100hp each or by a complete diesel electric hybrid system like >>OSSA Powerlite. All kinds of interiors layouts could be realized, because of the available space. Sail Game Fishing for boat version with integrated fly bridge aft is also possible.
