The NANTUCKET CAT-BOAT is directly issued from a very popular sailing concept from the end of last century on the United States East coast.: the cat boat. All the boardyard and architects of the time drew their own Catboat. The blueprints of the NANTUCKET CAT-BOAT are issued from the evolution of a drawing that is dated from the middle of the XIX century. Conceived to sail in the troubled waters of the American west-coast estuaries, she possesses an incredible stability of shape. Even though the NANTUCKET CAT-BOAT’s sailing program is big, the fact that she’s so easy to maneuver and so quick makes her the ideal boat to initiate children to sailing..
She is built in polyester with various possible coating. All the woodwork is in varnished mahogany..
The standard version has a lacquered antiskid deck, where the Classic version has a wooden deck (choice of wood essence). All the boats have spars in Oregon Pine, Harken fittings, beige Incidences sails et a mast crutch. The antifouling is also taken in account, the color will be for you to choose..
Your boat can be personalised in anyway You might like. The boatyard will satisfy your each and every request.

The Thom Cat Daysailer is designed in the tradition of the racing cats of the 1890's. At that time cats were raced extensively, using sandbags for ballast and shifting it on different tacks. These "Sandbaggers," as they were called, were know for their speed and excitement.
We have captured the feeling of those times yet produced a strong, safe boat with graceful lines and an attractive gaff rig. This design, combined with modern fiberglass construction, results in an ideal boat for sailors of discriminating taste - and no sandbags needed!
She makes a comfortable family daysailer that is easy to sail and maintain. She is trailerable and her rig can be removed or replaced in a matter of minutes. Her fine lines are a mark of an easily driven hull, while her hard bilges and great beam give her ample stability to carry her large, efficient sail. This combination produces a fast, responsive boat that is handy to sail. Her pleasing appearance and sound construction give her owners a certain pride not instilled by most of the modern daysailers on the market today. The Thom Cat Daysailer is a boat for the traditionalist and the practical sailor alike.

Our 19-foot Thom Cat is ideal for people looking to do a little cruising. The cabin has sitting headroom for a 6' 8" person, and the bunks measure 10 feet so there is ample room for you to sleep. The cockpit is large enough for eight people to sit comfortably and not get in each others way. This Cat is the same size as many 22-foot to 24-foot sloops. Compare its displacement rather than its length.

A semi-rigid vessel designed and built to sail in extreme sea and weather conditions.
The pneumatic part of the vessel is made in neoprene Hypalon fabric, an elastomer derived from rubber, the strongest fabric used to make professional pneumatic vessels. The fabric is not affected by ultraviolet rays, unlike plastomer-derived fabrics.
neoprene Hypalon fabric is also used as it is more resistant than plastomer fabrics to the action of the sea, which is in constant contact with the pneumatic part of the vessel.
If any accident occurs with Neoprene Hypalon fabric, as it is cold-glued it can be repaired in any place and, following the instructions in the manual, by any person in any emergency situation.
The floats are reinforced in the areas of greatest wear and covered with a non-slip Neoprene surface and protected by two solid Neoprene perimeter fenders.
The layout of the floats, conical in the bow, opening towards the stern to offer greater wind resistance and prevent the bow from rising excessively due to sharp winds and gusts from the stern.
In the construction, the criterion of high-strength with very low weight was what led us to select materials with good strenght and module characteristics. The vessel is thus built with fibreglass-reinforced polyester in a sandwich construction, reinforced on the inside and joined to the deck.
There is also a vessel with a hull built entirely of Kevlar and carbon fibres, and glass to a lesser extent, using specialsynthetic cores to withstand the severe pressure conditions of 20 atmospheres and the forces of the engine, thus forming and indestructible assembly. The sequence and layout of the layers consider the strength of the piece to whihstand water impacts at 40 knots, at the same time offering the assembly incredible resilience to dampen instant charges.
These vessels have been designed above all to perform tactical operations in coastal waters, disembarking and beaching, and are suitable for transport by air on a standard platform and launched by parachutewith a water impact speed of 8 m/s, and for stowing on the deck in submergibles of maximum depths of 200 m.
