Consoles for demanding applications both on the bridge and in the engine room are a key area of expertise of Callenberg A/S. We are known worldwide for designing, manufacturing and installing consoles of a high quality onboard a large variety of ship types.
Design and engineering is based on components that are readily available worldwide. The consoles are manufactured in accordance with IEC 60439 and IEC 60092-302. They are built of 2-3 mm steel sheet profiles, which are all welded to ensure a strong construction.

|
Production of consoles for:
- Special vessels
- Containervessels, Bulkers, (Tankers)
- Pilot vessels
- Ferries
- Megayachts
- Offshore Patrol Vessels
- Marine (e.g. K130, T45)
Significant Features:
- Implementation of custom tailored design
- Engineering and Integration of different communication and navigation systems
- Consoles in high-grade steel, aluminium, and steeldesign
- Wiring according to EMV standards
- Ergonomically created design
- Optimized arrangement of equipment for optimal ease of use
- Compliance with different class regulations Shockproof production of the welded construction
- Marine consoles in special paintwork
- Compliance with MIL-Standards
- Special fabrication of user surface, e.g. of wood or leather
|
|
The consoles and their major components have been verified in environmental tests where they have beeb exposed to temperatures, humidity and vibration as prescribed in recognised test standards.
Main properties
The two console ranges have slightly different properties:
- Deep line consoles have more room for equipment in the top and base sections.
- Deep line consoles are designed for installation on a separate base frame while slim line consoles are designed to be bolted directly to the hull.
- The panel area of special consoles for the aft bridge is higher (900 mm total) than the deep and slim line consoles.
- All consoles are designed for use in an indoor environment.
- Aft bridge consoles are designed to allow vertical and horizontal viewing angles as defined in the DNV NAUT-OSV requirements.

Kongsberg's new K-Master workstation is a complete and independent operating station designed to meet strict aft bridge ergonomic considerations regarding the arrangement of working places, the instrumentation and the operability of the equipment itself. Within easy reach of the operator, the K-Master workstation includes:
Dynamic Positioning
Independent DP joystick
Thruster control
Machinery automation and cargo control
Chart radar and conning display
Bridge auxiliaries
Designed for efficiency and safety
The true integration between the subsystems also makes it possible to provide functions across the subsystem boundaries, for instance, for system wide mode control tailored to the vessel's different types of operation, accessible through a condition based user interface. Similar concepts can be used for presentation and/or operation of auxiliary equipment, such as deck lights, window wipers, navigation lights or search lights.
