Max Power's new range of Ignition Protected tunnel thrusters is available for models CT35 to CT125. Certified ISO 8846, this range allows the safe use of an electric tunnel thruster in petrol / gas engine vessels where there may be potentially flammable gases.
IP thrusters can also be installed in habitually wet or damp areas such as sail lockers, or in the transom of deep "V" shaped motor yachts.

Launched in 2004, the Compact Retract™ is designed for yachts from 30-52'. This lightweight electric retractable thruster, the first of its kind, has been a major success with shipyards from the start. Whilst other electric retractable thrusters on the market may appear to be the same, technically they are very different.
The Max Power Compact Retract™ is the lowest profile electric retractable thruster available, allowing installation in even the most confined spaces. It also boasts the smallest hull opening on the market thanks to its unique downward movement. Furthermore, unlike some competing models, the Compact Retract™ is bolted onto a flange and not directly laminated into the hull. This means that the whole unit can be removed quickly and easily.
Other advantages also include: lightweight composite construction, rapid deployment, no exposed moving parts in the yacht, splash resistant in the yacht (thanks to its GRP casing), and intelligent position detection.

This Vertically retractable thruster is ideal for sailing yachts between 45 - 70' since it keeps your hull lines clean and smooth. Its lightweight construction and ideal emersion depths means the unit can be installed far forward in the hull making it much more effective than a tunnel thruster.
Max Power's patented thrust plate transfers its lateral thrust through the hull of the yacht not from a cumbersome column.

This folding retractable thruster is designed to be compact, in order to fit under bunks and floorboards on yachts 50-200'.
The retractable movement allows it to be installed far forward in the box of the boat while reaching ideal emersion depth.
