The GEONAV RO 4700 offers the DSC (Digital Selective Calling) standard function: the pressure of the DISTRESS key immediately broadcasts the distress call, providing your boat's ID, the position and nature of danger. The backlit display shows the acknowledge signals coming from the nearest vessels and from land.
Besides ATIS channels, the GEONAV RO 4700 supports 55 INT channels that allow communicating confidentially and transmitting selective calls to one or more boats: you just have to know the MMSI number of the boats to contact and to send a message specifying the transmission channel you want. Only the selected boat will answer your call.

The IC-M801GMDSS is designed for Class A DSC operation. With the optional AT-141 antenna tuner, it provides a complete GMDSS MF/HF communication system as required for Commercial Solas regulated vessels voyaging in the A2 sea area. The radio also meets MED 96/98/EC, "wheel mark" requirements for European merchant ships.

With its 55 INT channels and its ATIS system, the RO470 VHF possesses as well the DSC (Distress Selected Communication) as standard.
A single push of the "Distress" button, broadcast instantly a distress call, with the boat identity, its position and the nature of the danger. Fully featured compact submersible radio
When connected to an external GPS receiver, the position request and position report functions allow you to exchange the ships position information. The received position information can be plotted on navigation equipment that has NMEA input. When connected to an external loud speaker or hailer, you can make an announcement to crew members on the boat via the hand microphone. The RX speaker function allows you to monitor the radio audio from the loud speaker or hailer.

The Raymarine AIS250 Receiver module is a 'listen only' AIS receiver that easily integrates with an existing VHF antenna using a built in VHF splitter. The AIS250 then interfaces to Raymarine multifunction displays, allowing AIS targets to be graphically overlaid in both the chartplotter and radar modes.
Operating in the VHF maritime band, the AIS system enables the wireless exchange of navigation status between vessels and shore-side traffic monitoring centers. Commercial ships, ocean going vessels and other boats equipped with AIS transmitters broadcast AIS messages that include the vessel's name, course, speed, and current navigation status.
